Common areas have very strong scent. Like baby powder that is very overpowering. Room, on the other hand smelled old and stale. The other tower didn’t seem to have this problem.

Family with young baby. Vera good location and easy to access to both a small park and mall just next to the hotel. Stayed with river view, very scenery. Best hotel breakfast so far travelling around China. What I like most with the hotel is how service minded it is. They were all very helpful. They helped me order food via WeChat and when I asked for a later check-out they gave me that. The lobby is beautiful and good space just for a walk inside. Gym with a good river view, the swimming pool looked very nice. I would definitely go back.

I booked a king-sized room but the hotel had sold out all king-size ones when I arrived at night. This shows the hotel is not respecting or committed to customer requirements. This could happen in low-star hotels, but not excusable in a global branded 5-star hotel. Overall the hotel tries to give customers the "grand and luxurious" feeling, but it turned out to be one of the "rich but cheap" styles commonly seen in China these days. The interior design and material (especially the taps and walls of the washroom) used is as cheap as a 3 to 4-star hotel in China, a big contrast to the "golden and gorgeous" architecture and lobby. The guests staying in this hotel are mostly rich but low-educated. You can see from their behavior in public areas, and smoking in lobby toilets. Early in the morning, guests and kids are yelling and chasing in guestroom floors, definitely causing frustration in the same floor. Such behaviors are typical in China's cheap chain inns or non-star hotels, but these behaviors are being repeated exactly the same way in this 5-star hotel. The stay was terrible experience.
