Staybridge Suites Saskatoon - University, an IHG Hotel

Love this hotel! Wish the price was a little lower to accommodate traveling families that have to visit Saskatoon often for Huskie Athletics.

Stayed at Staybridge for work meetings being held there with my husband and newborn baby and children. When checking in, was not asked to pay. Assumed it was coming off credit card that was provided. The next day they kept calling for me to come down immediately to pay for room as the lady working when I checked in was new. I said I would come down during meeting break. They called again shortly after for me to come down. I had to leave my meeting to go down to pay. The last day of our stay we called early in the morning to request a later check out as my meeting ended after lunch. They denied my request and said they could store my stuff if needed. My husband called to ask again and was denied so he asked to speak to manager and lady on phone said she’s busy and if he wanted to speak with her , he would have to come down to the front desk to talk to her, he told her he could not just easily do that as he has a small baby. Manager ended up speaking to him and agreed to 12pm check out. However housekeeping came twice to room and told us we had to leave even after husband told them we had late check out.

Starting with the check-In. We showed up around 1am on Thursday night and waited over 30 minutes to check in. We had our 4 and 3 year old children and 22lb hypoallergenic dog with us and took them up on the offer of daily clean linens/made bed and garbage takeout. I had booked a room with a king bed and a double-pull-out couch for the kids that was supposed to sleep 4. We get to our room and it was nice and clean. Go to pull out the bed and its only a twin which was too small for 2 kids to sleep on together. One kid slept on the lounge part of the couch and one slept on the pull-out which required more sheets and a pillow. When I called for another set, it promptly arrived within 10 minutes. The king bed was very comfy as long as you were under the blankets. The air conditioner was set to 22°C and it was constantly blowing ice cold air right at the bed. Room was not stocked for enough plates, cups, cutlery or towels for 4 people. Had to ask for another set and they gave us plastic cutlery and paper plates. They failed to note that we had our dog with us at check-in so when we stopped in to ask for more towels, then told us about the extra charges which we gladly paid but it really should have been brought up during check in. We had to ask for towels multiple times (only used 1 a day for each of us but somehow they expected us to only use one the entire 5 day stay). They never emptied our garbage once.

All around great property! Came with a 6 month year old baby and a dog and no issues at all!

Great place for a family with kids. Kitchenette is perfect, nice pool, short distance to hospital and shopping, park and some food places are walking distance

Incredible views, great location next to university, easy parking and wonderful room selection. Enjoyed the pool but would love a waterslide for more family-friendly amenities. Breakfast was so-so compared to other Staybridge locations. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Your staff was very unclear when trying to figure out our situation. The manager on duty actually told some people outside of the hotel about what happened which reached back to my family. I don't think leaking guest info like that is allowed and that worries me for future stays if we even do. My family has always stayed with Staybridge and this is the first bad experience I've had so I don't want to give up on your company but I definitely don't appreciate your staff talking about me as a guest outside of their work to strangers and my family. That is truly unprofessional and a breach of privacy.

Me my wife and 2 kids sure enjoyed the heated floors in the swimming pool room and the nice warm walk back to the room

Facility was awesome! Very happy with our stay. Hotel is easy to access, clean, great breakfast, and spacious suites. Pool was a bit cold for the kids, but after the initial shock, they were fine.
