Holiday Inn Express & Suites North Battleford, an IHG Hotel

Lots going on this weekend in North Battleford- so hotel was busy. Lots of loud noise till very late on the floor above us. Travelling with small kids made the night less enjoyable. Also no pool towels on multiple occasions - even after asking the staff.

I booked for my children not knowing the pool and hot tub was out of service, we did not stay and chose to try again sone other time

Initially I was impressed when walking in to the room, but upon further inspection could easily see plenty of areas that the cleaners have neglected. The headboard was greasy/sticky in many areas, the carpet was stained and sticky. Our door was missing the security latch and was easily pushed open when leaving the room (wouldn’t lock) Maybe previously broken in/forcefully pushed open? Not enough towels in our room for the occupancy we selected. Stained shower curtain. Small stains on bed comforter. The pillows smelled like greasy heads. Pool area large dead bugs on the floor that weren’t cleaned up the entire 2 days we were there. There were no pool towels available the first day. She had only one to provide us and took the dirty bin to be washed. Dirt/sand at bottom of pool. The water slide isn’t actually a “water” slide. No flowing water down it, so our kids skin would sometimes stick on it on the way down. They still had a lot of fun with it though. For the cost of stay I would expect this all should be a much better than it was. Good location with plenty of restaurants, ice cream shack and Walmart near by. Newer and modern rooms. Decent breakfast with plenty of options. Clean bathroom.

Very disappointed in our check in experience. We booked a room with multiple beds to accommodate a family of 4. Upon check-in we walked into our given room which had one king bed and a lounge chair. When I went downstairs to talk to the employee at the front desk I was told there were no other rooms available. Thankfully another family we were travelling with had been given a double room despite having only 2 guests and was willing to trade with us. How is it possible for my booking to be changed without my permission? Was the hotel overbooked? If they couldn’t accommodate us comfortably we would have book a room elsewhere, feeling disappointed we were never given that opportunity.

Great hotel for a family of 5. Beds were very comfortable. Great breakfast.

The property was great. Love the rooms, beds are very comfy. There was an issue with the times posted for breakfast. The sign by the kitchen said till 10:00 and yet probably 1/2 dozen families came down by 9 or later and were turned away with the staff stating breakfast was done at 9:00. It was quite confusing and frustrating for everyone. Even at check-in we were told 10:00 a.m. it would really help if this was clarified. Otherwise, though great place.

We found garbage in our room so the staff told us to pick out a free treat from the confection area. They said they have been busy so sometimes things get missed. Finding chicken bones under a chair was quite gross especially when we have a baby crawling around.

Excellent location. Friendly front desk worker- Jeewan. Big open room with lots of space. Rooms were clean- just a couple stains on the couch but minor. Our suite was perfect for young kids. Waterslide and pool was great but no pool towels available. Would book again.
