Upon arrival you enter the front parking gate by pushing button , but exit gate was wide open . That night 2 cars stolen ( Highlander & RAV4) and almost our car ! We had our car glass broken but nothing taken from inside , so they wanted the car ( Lexus SUV) . After that incident the exit gate stayed down and you needed your room card to exit . Too little , too late for the other 2 families and our headache to get door glass fixed on our vacation .

The rooms and facilities (including two swimming pools) are clean, up-to-date, and in good repair. The restaurant staff are friendly and service is fast. Wifi cut out occasionally. The hotel is especially good for family stays, with free and ample parking being a big plus. Easy access to Métro, with restaurants and a grocery nearby.

We loved the location. Everything was great, especially the free parking and the restaurant. I didn't find the breakfast overpriced compared to other breakfast restaurants. We didn't get to use the pool, unfortunately. Like most other hotels, we could hear other guests. I woke up to a toddler crying and t chatting loudly quite early in the morning but the hotel doesn't claim to have soundproofed walls, so that is to be expected at most places in this price range. The AC unit kept us very comfortable. However, the sound of it turning on during the night could wake light sleepers. Overall good experience. Great water pressure too!

Very clean and close to the venues. Walking distance to the major attractions. Restaurant was very good and great spot to bring your family.

Hotel Universal Montreal had the most professional staff with the willingness to help whenever my family needed. The only downside was that there was this weird smell in the lobby which wasn't bad but was definately strong in and overpowering. No other issues with the room or the ammenties. i would for sure book my travel here again!

I’m still in disbelief. My car got stolen in the hotel parking lot. For the price I paid I thought security will good. Please work on security around hotel area so guests can stay without much stress like our family did

Me and my family like to come to Montreal every now and then for a weekend getaway. We came to stay at this hotel and on the first day our personal belongings got stolen from our room and staff didn’t do anything about it. We checked in, got ready to go out, and left the hotel. Headphones and a hair curling iron was taken. We remember exactly where these were last left, we looked everywhere in our car and room. Person at the desk told us he will talk to his manager and they will take a long at the cameras “IF” they have any and got my contact information down. They never contacted me back. I will not be going back to this hotel and I will be strongly advising to other people and on social media not to either. Very upset with how they handled the situation.

We were in town for a soccer tournament and it was perfect for what we needed. My kids loved the indoor pool (outdoor pool not open yet for the season), easy and free parking, location was great. Staff was friendly. Room was spacious enough but beds were quite hard. Asked for a cot and it was delivered quickly.
