Super 8 by Wyndham Timmins ON

I would definitely book here again, but unfortunately hotel management needs to learn who to hire and who not to hire. We booked a 4 person room. It had a king and a pullout couch. The bed had 3 pillows and none for the pullout. I went to the front desk to ask for a extra pillow. Unfortunately I interrupted the little girl working the front desk, who was having a time on social media. When I asked for a pillow, she said there wasn’t any and if I wanted one we should have brought our own. I replied that a 4 person room should have at least 1 pillow for each person it sleeps. She flew out from behind the desk and stomped up stairs like a child having a temper tantrum. About 3 minutes later she came down the stairs with a pillow in hand. Realizing that her attitude was indeed my fault for asking for a pillow while she was enjoying watching TikTok at work, I simply said thank you, to which she ignored and walked back plumped her self back in her chair a resumed her social media activities. Put someone behind the desk that knows customer service or at least works instead of playing on their phone and this hotel gets a A . But just remember to bring your own pillows.

Staff are friendly and helpful. We stay here every time we come to Timmins to visit family.

Sadly I needed at short notice to go to Timmins following a sudden Family bereavement. I contacted the Super 8 to see if I could check in early in the morning due to flights and my long journey. I initially spoke to the lovely Chantal who was so kind and accommodating, she said not to worry about anything and just focus on getting there. When I arrived the next morning everything was arranged and I was able to have access to my room right away. The gentleman who checked me in was kind, welcoming and efficient. My room was spacious, warm, very clean and comfortable. I was able to come and go to family and it was almost like having my own place there. The atmosphere at this Super 8 is relaxed and homely. Something I really needed and appreciated under the circumstances. Nothing was any trouble. I would happily stay there again in the future. The combination of facilities and the kindness of the staff made what was a very difficult trip, much, much easier. Thank you guys. You were great. See your again.
