Courtyard by Marriott Halifax Downtown

Great stay! Was awesome to sit out on the balcony with a drink and watch the hustle of the city and the music from the boardwalk after the kids crawled into bed!

Construction right beside hotel-"blasting zone" signs up. Not the hotels fault though, obviously out of thryre control. No housekeeping came in the 4 nights we stayed, despite calling the front desk to say we needed it. Had to put garbage/recycling in hallway and a sign on our door saying "need toilet paper ", lol Fan didn’t work in bathroom, unfortunate for a family of 4, curtains didn't close all the way, should have brought clips. Black mold on underside of soap shelf in shower. Locations couldn't have been better though. Roof top terrace is beautiful and the Shuck house restaurant beside hotel has great seafood.

One night stay in two rooms with family. Service was very good, and the location was excellent. The only thing that made it tough was out of control of hotel is massive construction activity next door which makes it impossible to sleep in or enjoy balcony in the daytime.

We originally booked a king with a sofe bed option and showed up at the check-in time of 4 o'clock and did the "soft check-in" as insteucted to by the email at 8am. We were told that this was not available and we would be getting and accessible adjoining room with no sofa and turns out minimal view of the waterfront. Not fully understanding what this meant, we agreed. The room did have accessbility options but also had an unlocked door to the room next door that a child kept trying to explore once locked. The walls are so thin you can hear every movement of your neighbor. Because so closely located near an ancient elevator, we got to hear the doors opening closing throughout the night. This was supposed to be a relaxing stay-cation prior to my husband's deployment, and I feel we would have been better off staying at home

My family and I have stayed at this hotel a few times now, we keep coming back because it is dependable. This time around I found the staff was extra friendly and I loved it. It makes me want to book there again. They were just extremely friendly and helpful we had some really loud people staying in the room beside us and they left in the mid evening and we worried they would wake our kids up when they came back but we didn’t hear a peep from them when they got back in because the hotel staff keeps up on that stuff. I was really impressed with this stay thank you we will be back!

Excellent property, but the king sofa bed rooms cannot fit 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids). Expedia books them for 4, but we needed a cot, which made the room quite cramped. Great stay overall, but families of 4 beware!

Had to leave a day early due to a family emergency. I would like to be reimbursed.

Stayed one night. Loved the location - so close to the waterfront. Room was a bit small for our family of 4.

Great vacation with family!

Temperature control does not work. Slept with patio door open. No real notice about jack hammering noise from upstairs for like 4 hours which was hard for our kids to nap.
