Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland

My meal in the restaurant was sub par. There were no tissues left in the box in our room. The alarm clock was set by the previous guest and woke my husband and I up at 6:30am! We were then again awoken by housekeeping at 8:15am! Wondering if there was someone in the room or not?! I found that shocking! They have a list of occupied rooms and check out is at 12pm so obviously the likelihood of the room being vacant at 8 o’clock in the morning was very slim! Plus the next guest isn’t permitted to check in until 3pm so I always thought the 3 hour gap was meant for cleaning at that time! Unbelievable! I paid extra for breakfast for two the next morning, however when we checked in, no one had given us our voucher or explained how we would go about redeeming or getting the breakfast. I ended up having to call down to the front desk after being woken up by the housekeeping person to find out! My husband and I were there for one night to celebrate our anniversary. We have 3 kids and we’re looking forward to a nice night away and to sleep in the next morning…. All ruined by the clock and housekeeping! Not happy at all

Our family stayed a couple night at the Sheraton -- my son and husband played chess on the first floor (what a great treat to have this easily available), and we checked out the weight room downstairs. The pool looked lovely, but we didn't have a chance to use it. I loved the proximity to downtown St. John's most of all -- we walked to Signal Hill and could walk to many other sites as well. Fantastic location!

Room, breakfast and staff were all top notch. I will certainly suggest The Sheridan to friends and family.

The hotel was very nice. Comfortable and the location is great. Our room seemed small for our family of four. Service was great when asked for coffee replacement and stored our luggage for the day before going to the airport.
