Sinbad's Hotel & Suites

Our family traveled for 6 weeks in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, and Sinbad Hotel & suites was by far the nicest hotel we stayed in. Not only was the bedroom large and comfortable, but the dining room was superb. The free breakfast was in their architecturally beautiful dining room and we had a menu to choose from and were served by wait staff. We chose to have dinner there on our last evening and sat at a table by the huge fireplace. The steak was cooked exactly as we had asked and the waitress service was all that could be asked for. I wish we could have stayed longer!

After finally getting a much needed weekend away from our kids in over a year we were expecting to come home rested and relaxed but much the opposite happened . We were given a room above the lobby and st the front of the building . It was very hot at night and the smell of smoke and marajuana was coming in the room until late. There were people outside smoking a talking until after midnight . The next morning between 6:30-7 sm there was a tour bus pulling into the back door . All the back up beeping and the founds of the engine woke us up . We finally fell asleep and then just after 8 am this Saturday morning someone stayed mowing the lawn !!! We got up and went for breakfast . We waited 30 minutes when I finally asked if we could get some coffee and I was responded took with a yes like I was bothering them . The next morning the bus pulled up again !!! Now we were totally frustrated and tired . Went for breakfast . We’re told that our wait wouldn’t be as long this time . We were told the young man that served us the day before ( who was fantastic) would serve us . The hotel manager even told us he would be right over . We got there at 9:30 am , by 10:20 we still weren’t served . I flagged the waitress and she said I thought he had come . She took our order , we had to checkout by 11so my husband ran up to pack the last of out items and bring them to the car . The breakfast finally came at 10:45 and my husbands was cold by the time he got to eat !! Ridiculous!!!

Front desk staff were really friendly. Check-in was a breeze. The only issue was breakfast; it's included in room rate but it's sit down and you order from a small menu. My family and I were seated but I had to go find someone after 20+ minutes just to get a drink of water, let alone food. We still enjoyed our stay but be aware that breakfast could take quite a while.

We had a pet friendly room and the staff treated us so well ensuring we were well situated with the kids and puppy.

We came for a death in the family and stayed 5 days. The staff were amazing, laundry facilities on site, I could set up my laptop and work at the desk, the room was clean, lots of space and conveniently located walking distance to anything you might need.

It met and exceeded my families needs.
