I was pleasantly surprised by the stay here. The staff was very helpful and location is perfect if you have a child staying in Residence on campus. I had been worried about the parking, but the parking system could not be better with outdoor parking immediately by the entrance to the Suites. The suites were exceptionally clean, and while somewhat small in relation to typical hotels, laid out very cleverly with a very good kitchen. Will stay here every time I visit my daughter.

It's located in the middle of UBC Vancouver campus. It is very convenient if you come for a campus tour or visit your kid, who is attending the school.

Our room was extremely clean but we didn’t realize it was on a college campus. Every night the AC turned off and when we tried to open the windows for air it was too loud with partying college kids. Also it was strange checking in at student services for our “hotel room”. It’s great for visiting parents but not for a restful, hotel stay.

This was our first stay at Gage Suites at UBC. We will be back. We chose Gage as a convenient option for visiting our child at UBC. It was close to the bus which allowed us to save on renting a car. It was less than an hour by sky train and bus to the property. It was easy to find our way to the reception and they had availability to check us in early. The suite has everything you need including full kitchen. We chose to dine out and there were several great options around campus from the Blue Chip, The Point and of course, ice cream at Rain or Shine. It was an easy walk to our child's dorm and we loved exploring the campus. There are many museums, beautiful grounds and the beach. Would highly recommend!

It was great to be able to stay on campus to visit our child. The room was smallish, but so convenient. Comfy bed, well appointed kitchenette, nice bathroom, lovely window and so quiet. The staff member who checked us in was so friendly. The only issue we had was the check in area wasn't well signed, and it took some walking around to find it. A sign directing visitors to the check in desk, which is a different building would be helpful.

I loved staying at Gage. Everything was perfect for my family except for the sink drainage, and the old toilet cover.

The Good- Safe, quiet, modern room on the campus of UBC that has a microwave and a refrigerator. It’s a modern, compact dorm room. There is a Tim Horton’s downstairs on the same block. The Bad: You are forced to pay $16 a night for parking , there’s no way to get around this ( I tried). No street parking is available. You are a good 20-25 minute drive (and possibly more) away from downtown Vancouver. You will need a car to get anywhere around here. There is nothing to do around the hotel, this is basically a place to come home and rest your head at night. Lots of college kids clog up the Tim Hortons at all times so you will be waiting on line for a while whenever you go.
