Podollan Inn & Spa Grande Prairie

This property was nice with a hot breakfast . Very clean and staff willing to help when required. Rooms let them down as far as sleep goes. Due to the long daylight hours; then early morning day light hours in summer, add to the mix so many lights in car park If you want your children to sleep ask for a room with blackouts, Acutally would ecommend everyone ask for them.

The beds were very hard and make sure you check the alarm clocks! Or just unplug them, didn’t even think to check and then went off at 530am waking our whole family. Very unfortunate. Staff were great and very helpful in all areas though. Rooms are rundown.

Negatives first : some weird stains on the floor, bad water bubbles on the end tables so u cant even put a glass on them lol, fridge was too warm and no way to turn up, had to ask for soap as there wasnt any in the room, the tv channels were AWFUL and not clear and the blinds wouldnt work. Positives: bathroom was clean and spacious, towels were awesome for my bigger size, the bed was very comfortable! Pillows were good. Blankets were nice and warm. You cant hear ANYTHING from the surrounding rooms as its super sound proofed! The best part of this stay was the complimentary breakfast. You get to go into the attached restaurant, order off their menu (build your own omelette with side of fruit/hashbrowns and toast or build your own breakfast with many options) and not pay a cent unless you want extras which you really dont need. I was fasting for an ultrasound so i sat with my kids while they ordered and the lady asked me what i would like packaged up to take home! How nice is that??!! Employees of hotel and restaurant are so very polite and nice and go above and beyond.

It’s definitely a place I’d stay without kids. The spa looks amazing. TV’s are super small, had a family room and tv’s weren’t compatible for Xbox. Also another guest put their empty 2-6’s by our door which was super weird lol

Rooms are starting to show their age. Room was clean. It was quiet. I found the bed to soft but the wife and kids liked it.

Unfortunately over the years this property has really gone downhill. The hallways are dirty and dark. You can feel tiles under the hallway carpets that are lifted and wobbly. The lighting in the rooms is dark and the carpets have deteriorated in there as well. The parking lot has pot holes in it large enough to lose a small child and there isn't enough room in it to accommodate all the large suped up work trucks and regular vehicles.

My family and I enjoyed our stay.
