Hyatt Regency Perth

Since I was staying with my child, I had arranged for a bed guard and crib and was told that I could not put him in a twin room. For reasons unknown, we managed to get around this by putting the bed against the wall. It is hard to be eco-friendly and have minimal amenities. No slippers, gowns, or toothbrushes. The bathtub was old and slippery, and my child slipped and hurt herself. They brought a non-slip mat, but since we told them in advance that we would be staying with our child, they should have taken this into consideration beforehand.

I stayed for a week with my husband and toddler. It wasn't my first choice of accomodation as my original choice had some sudden confirmation issues and I had to book this at the very last minute. Location isvery convenient, short drive (20 min) from airport and near the beautiful Swan river It is also near several eateries and mini-marts. The only issue is that the entrance is inconspicuous and easily missed when driving. It's quite disappointing that as hotel guests, parking is still payable at $30/day. The gym had the basic equipment, but overall the atmosphere was pretty dull with the dim lighting and lack of music. Most hotel gyms would also have some TV screens as well which was also lacking in this gym.The overall decor of the hotel and rooms is quite dated and old and I think a major overhaul would be needed if it were to keep up with newer, more modern hotels. But the room was spotless, no complaints there. Breakfast spread was ok, but with almost no changes in the menu, it got quite boring after several days. The flavour in several cooked dishes was also lacklustre. All the service staff were very helpful and friendly. The only problem we had on one day was that there was no cleaning staff that came to clear the trash despite us making the request twice.

Room was good ! Bathroom, shower, bath tub was very good, would be great staying with kids. View was nice over pool and glimpses of the river. Had some trouble understanding the staff i.e. language barrier (Engrish) Parking is not great, room service whilst okay, was not value money

Friendly staff, a bit far for walking to centre of CBD if you have children.

I really enjoyed my stay. The beds are really comfortable and the whole premises is clean and well presented. My only complaint is that the breakfast prices are very high. You can walk to a local cafe and have a better cooked menu for a lot less. I would have preferred to enjoy breakfast before checking out, but wasn’t affordale for a family.
