The Shells Resort & Spa Phu Quoc

What a gorgeous and unique resort in a lush, beach front setting with well-thought out landscaping. The room villa was spacious and sunny, but private as well. Well worth the rate. The staff was very helpful and kind to our family. I would stay again, but I’d like to challenge the hotel to do better in terms of “eco-friendliness.” Plastic straws, for one, can be substituted for a biodegradable option or another material. In addition, I would love to see the resorts invest some money into educating and helping the local population about trash and plastic. It will be the ruin of Phu Quoc, Vietnam, and our world if reusables are first of all reduced, and secondly disposed of properly. I’ve never seen more trash on a beach and in the ocean, and along the road. It’s honestly heart breaking. After Tet particularly, every piece of trash was left to blow in the wind and into the beautiful ocean. We can work together to stop this if those with influence, aka, Sun Group or whatever that companies called, and all the resorts give back to the community through aforementioned steps.
