Phu Quoc Dragon Resort & Spa

We spent six days at the Dragon Resort. We opted for the half-board option which offered extraordinary value. Phu Quoc is becoming a mainstream tourist destination with large, sprawling resorts. However, this small resort remains cozy and is located in a quaint little village away from the hustle and bustle. Great for families or those looking to relax.

Property is overall OK / Nice and staff is great. However our room was bordering with school and we had significant level of kids noise from 7am till 4/5pm. We asked twice to change our room but it did not happen. Breakfast is excellent and beach near by (15 min walk, 7 min bike ride) is beautiful and not busy.

I did a lot of research before selecting a resort to stay in Phu Quoc. There were many choices but I was relieved when we got to the Phu Quoc Dragon Resort that I had made the right choice for my family. We had 4 rooms by the pool. It appears that all the rooms are of similar sizes, just location and view which I don't see any being bad or unpleasant. The room was very spacious and bathroom was really nice. We had a great time staying for 4 nights. It is not by the beach (about 10 minute walk). Do bring the resort towel when you go to the beach. The resort's restaurant was decent. Breakfast was included and was really great. Plentiful and changes variety each day during our 4 day stay. The resort is also very close to many great restaurants in Ong Lang beach area (which is MUCH preferred than Long Beach after I experienced Long Beach). It was nice and quiet. Staff speaks decent English and all were very pleasant and helpful. A cab ride from Phu Quoc airport was about 30 minutes and cost us 300,000 VD. I do recommend calling the resort to see if an airport pick up can be arranged for a fee. They also provided free shuttle into "downtown" Phu Quoc twice a day, allowing time for some shopping and change of scenery.
