Best Western Plus Plaza Hotel

We showed up to the property completely exhausted. My wife checked us in and let our kids nap not knowing exactly what I had booked. I was at a wrestling tournament with our oldest. She then notified me that the room was a basic room with two double beds. We had reserved a king suite so that everyone would be accommodated. I notified the front desk of my issue to which they blamed Expedia. Front desk was adamant that Expedia was at fault and there was nothing they could do. I reached out to Expedia via virtual chat. The first person I talked to in The chat treated me like I was an idiot and blamed the entire fiasco on the hotel. The first virtual chat person left the chat mid solution after making me insanely frustrated and without a solution. I had to begin a brand new chat with Expedia and was again told that the hotel was to blame and that I was somehow at fault but in no way was Expedia at fault. The only solution Expedia could offer for my $170 dollar room was a $50 Expedia cash voucher to be used through Expedia only. The best western plaza then charged me for the pre paid room when we checked out for $219 after we had pre paid through Expedia. Overall the experience was terrible. We go to that hotel annually but I feel like we have visited for the last time. Expedia has lost my business as well. Customer service is no longer a thing. It’s a lost art. What a whiny review over a simple thing that could’ve been completely resolved with refund rather than blame.

I was not given the room I booked. When I complained I was told first that there are only two such rooms in the hotel, implying that I was not allowed such a room. Then that there was a problem with the room I booked and it was unavailable. Then that a family had that room and has been there for five days and could not be moved. Then finally, that they are “allowed” to substitute rooms without notice if a room is comparable which mine was not in any way. Had I not complained I would have been charged the same price for a room I did not get. They are terrible. Finally the room I was in had not had the bathroom cleaned. There was hair all over the floor. The toilet seat was soiled and so worn that the underlying wood was showing through. Really really terrible.

Located right in hot springs park it was a quick walk to where we needed to go. My kids loved the outdoor pool. Staff was friendly, breakfast was good, staff friendly. Would recommend

The room size was very good for a family of 4. The hot tub with local hot spring was great.

The property was beautiful. We choose here for the pool for kids but it was closed super disappointing.

We stayed at this hotel because it was supposed to be one of the nicer places and near the hot springs. Well, it was near the hot springs, but the hotel stay was terrible. We got there and our room was over 100 degrees. Management said that they were having some trouble with the AC but would get a portable AC unit to your room shortly. After asking them every hour or so I had finally had enough and went back yet again to see if we could get that AC unit. He straight up said “Sorry I lied to you. I hate lying to customers. But you don’t get one.” After a bit more pushing, I finally got him to give us a box fan from their kitchen. Finally with the box fan in the window, we were able to get our room all the way down to 88 degrees by 5 in the morning. As a bonus we got to get blasted with the smell the hot springs all night. It was the worst night me and my family had ever had in a hotel. The longer I was there the more broken stuff I saw. The only thing this place had was breakfast. More than your normal continental fair with stuff for biscuits and gravy and breakfast sandwiches. Letting management know all these issues they just said sorry. They didn’t comp the room or even discount it. I sent a formal complaint, they ignored me. You’d do better to just pitch a tent in the park next to it where everyone let’s their dogs go, get woken up in the middle of the might by sprinklers, then face a 50 dollar ticket for illegal camping. It would be a better stay and cheaper!

This place was a disaster. The first room had no AC and a box fan. Best Western desk guy tried to play it off like it was normal and would get better. 30 minutes and still 81 in the room. Only other room had one bed and a pull out that was about 2 inches thick. It was basically laying on metal. I ended up sleeping on the floor. The pool was so dirty even my kids didn’t want to go in it - do you know how bad a pool must be for 13/12 year olds to not want to go in it? Guy at desk said he’d give me a discount, never did. Manager was supposed to call me, never did. Disputing with my credit card company if I don’t get a call by Monday.

The hotel is very nice, although a bit worn. The attention of the staff is first class, because I felt welcome along with my family. The room quite large and comfortable. Its weak points are cleanliness (terrible!), very dirty carpets and dirty bathrooms (lots of hair). Breakfast is not enough for all guests (that's lack of coordination, number of guests vs. amount of food).

This was a great facility that was quiet and nice. The staff was amazing. Boone was great when we had an accident with a kid getting sick. I felt horrible and he was Jonny on the spot and great!!! Thank you so much!!
