The staff was so welcoming and helpful. They were unexpectedly busy and yet they were prompt and cheerful. Felt like family. The breakfast area, pool area, exercise room were all kept exceedingly clean. The grounds were beautiful. We used the gas grill and it too was kept very clean. We will be happy to go back.

Our family stayed in town for one night and had an amazing stay at The Pointe! The staff was accommodating, friendly and always had a smile on their faces. The rooms were spacious, clean and spoke of the Northwoods. It was just amazing.

We loved staying here! It was quite, clean family friendly and in walking and bike riding distance with everything. My only concern is the crazy amount of traffic on high is scary with little ones on bikes!

Our check in Christmas Eve was perfect! we arrived later after our family christmas @ around 11:30. She was super pleasant and made sure we knew where everything was and all the amenities available. Our Check out, however, was less than pleasant. Don't get me wrong, i understand working on Christmas Day isn't what one really wants to do but you are so, how about making the best of it. We asked if we could pay cash instead of leaving the bill on our credit card and instead of explaining in a friendly manner that since we booked through Orbitz we had to leave it on the credit card we booked it under, she was pretty much rude. i then asked if i could get a reciept, and again instead of choosing some customer friendly words to explain that wasn't possible either, she was rude! either way, your hotel was being compensated so she didn't do your hotel any favors with her rudeness. We loved your hotel and will stay there again but this soured our Christmas a bit!

We had a lovely time at The Pointe. Our room was 3023 which was an end unit on the LL in building 4 (lots of stairs and no elevator). Room was clean, decent sized, and had a walk out patio. The bathroom is smaller because the toilet and tub/shower are separate from the sink area, but we didn’t mind. Perks included a kitchen sink with dish towels and soap, full set of dishes and silverware, microwave, and rather large mini fridge. They also had TWO larger garbage cans in the room which is a huge bonus for us as those small cans are never big enough. Some people might think this isn’t a big deal, but they had paper towel in the room which we found so useful since we were traveling with children. It’s the small things for us. As others have said, you can hear the traffic but this didn’t bother us as we use white noise machines when we sleep. Lake view was nice (the HWY runs between hotel and lake for building 4) and there was a path just off the patio that takes you down by the bridge and lake. Hotel is right across the bridge from downtown so it is a very walkable location. The breakfast was decent. Individual jugs of milk and OJ, coffee, yogurt, boiled eggs, muffins, English muffins (with natural jam so you can avoid yucky preservatives and of course real butter), waffles, and cereal. They provide trays in your room to carry the food back. We also got take out for breakfast one day from Island Cafe which was nearby. The full-size table (4 chairs) in the room was a plus!

The check in employee was super friendly and advised me about the hotel amenities and where the room, and the specific door for me to enter was at. The room I had was lakefront, and a one bedroom suite. It was clean and comfortable. The downfall was that the walls are very thin and one can hear what is going on in the next unit. I happened to have a very noisy family above me, and they were up early. I would stay again, but I think I would ask to be located on the 3rd floor.

I wish I would have known we had to go down three flight of stairs to get to our room. It was difficult at times especially after walking the town. It seemed like all the couples with young kids and the older clients like us were on the bottom floors. Next time I will book handicap rooms.
