The staff and the hotel were amazing at this place! It is a small, family run business, and they go out of their way to make sure that you are taken care of and treated like part of the family. Shopping is right across the street within walking distance, and parking is very convenient. While you are off of the beaten path from the hectic areas of town, you are still a short distance away from everything! I’ll definitely be back!

I’m not sure what’s going on in the hotel industry as I frequently stay at hotels due to work and leisure. But they are severely suffering and lacking the hospitality portion of their industry. I have stayed at Apple Creek resorts 2 separate times for business as we are renovating a house in baileys harbor. It was a place to sleep, the rooms are extremely dated, beds terribly uncomfortable, they have tons of out of the norm “rules” posted everywhere, but with very little inventory available, it was one of the only properties with vacancies (now I know why) and with having my kids one of the trips it had a pool!
Front desk person (who I found out later was the owner) was scattered and unorganized. I soon established she was just having a bad day and tried to look past it. However, after looking at my credit card statement the following month I saw that they had charged me 3 different charges for the same stay. When I tried to call for clarification, as to the charges, I was spoken over, never given the opportunity to clarify the dates and charges or get an explanation before I was rudely snapped at yelled at and then hung up on.
This person owns the hotel, she is rude, crass and unprofessional. You will have a very difficult time getting a hold of anyone before 10am or after 10pm…so watch out if you have a maintenance emergency or need extra towels. She has zero manners and has allowed her personal issues to take priority over her customers service or even basic kindness.

Went on a family trip to Door County. Checked in & got charged extra because my son is 18. The room didn’t get upgraded, we didn’t need extra accommodations, I was honest & got charged more (3 adults, 1 child). We walked into our room & it was very musty smelling, there’s alot of trees around the property that need to be pruned, so not a lot of sunlight gets to the rooms. Air conditioner needs to be cleaned because that made the smell worse. The hotel is just a little outdated; if I’m getting charged $360/night, I expect a little more comfort. Pool area was nice, hot tub clean. The staff is ok, but I got the feeling most of them would rather be somewhere else than helping customers at the hotel. Just wasn’t the most welcoming of hotels stays I’ve had, esp in Door Co.

This was the most disappointing hotel stay i have had in years. It took 5 minutes for someone to come and check us in, and nobody answered the little phone at the front. To get help. The guy at the counter was nice, but the atmosphere at the hotel is terrible. There are no less than 20 covid related signs when you enter, and you are told that you must wear a mask everywhere aside from your own room. We were also told by another couple that they were yelled at for not having a mask on in the pool area, and you are required to wear a mask unless you are actively in the water. They also state that you CAN NOT have food delivered to the hotel. There was a 5 minute lecture about the rules, regulations and expectations before we were alloqed to go to our room. It was like we were children. The room is VERY dated, more akin to a motel 6 than a "resort". This was a spur of the moment trip, and this was one of few places that had availability, and its clear why. If you can stay anywhere else in the area, i advise you do so.

The room was clean but a little musty. Once we opened the balcony door the smell dissipated quickly. There was a nice sized king bed and a jetted tub which which we really liked. I was a little disappointed that there were no restaurants within walking distance but there were a few cute shops across the street. The pool and hot-tub were clean and operational. Unfortunately parents kept letting there little kids get in the hot-tub which was against the rules. Overall unless you want to be near the water and restaurants this was a clean economical choice for us as we had never been to Door County and it was in a pretty central location to Ephraim, Egg Harbor and Sister Bay Which enabled us to quickly get to any of these towns with very little hassle.
