Beds were comfortable, kids really enjoyed the pool. Pretty impressed with the breakfast spread. Would stay here again when visiting Madison

We stayed for two nights with my kids. It was for a University of Wisconsin visit. My 4 year old wanted to swim. The pool was an absolute disaster. Unsupervised kids threw up orange stuff in the pool. I stepped on a white claw can in the deep end. People were drinking alcohol openly.
When I went to explore the area in the morning around 630am the lady at the front desk was very rude. She scolded me and rudely said " breakfast is at 7. That's why the lights are off!" She said this with obvious and physical annoyance. I wasn't looking for breakfast. I was simply looking around at the place I spent money to sleep at.
On top of this, the maids or the hotel help never cleaned or changed our sheets and gave us fresh towels. Ridiculous. Drunk neighbors. Load people upstairs. Very unhappy

The family loved the pool and hot tub. Love that there was a good pizza place walking distance.

Not a pleasant stay. We got locked out of our room because the door would not recognize our keys. They told our family of 5 that we could hang out in the bathroom while maintenance comes to fix the issue. 45 min later they could only get one key to work, but at least we could get back into our room. Never offered anything for the inconvenience. At breakfast all the eggs and sausage were gone and they never restocked the food. There was only 1 waffle maker, and since there was no other food, there was a line of 8 ppl for waffles. The elevator was so slow we ended up just taking the stairs, but the only stars were at the far ends of the hotel. While try the open the door to the stairs, the handle for that door fell off!! The only pillows for the bed are small square pillows. Not sure why they don’t have normal pillows? The fridge in the room was warm at best. Very unimpressed. Will never stay here again.

There was a wrestling team in the room/rooms above us and it was full on WWF until 1:30am. Not the properties fault.
The breakfast was fantastic! The desk personal was amazing and helpful and the pool was nice clean and quiet only 5’ deep which is perfect for our shorties.
We were in for the dog and fishing shows at the Alliant Energy Center and there were many of the vendors and dog families there. Wish we had brought ours.
However, the walls in our room had food and other remnants on it. The towels had dark short hairs in them and the shower was so slippery my husband almost fell.
We would return but probably request a different room on the top floor.

This is a solid hotel, almost great. Bed was very comfortable, breakfast was fine, parking was easy and ample and there are a few restaurants and a supermarket next door. The pool was cold, there was no decaf coffee in the lobby (I was told because it’s too expensive. Uhm, ok.) but they did have it in the room. The shower was a strange pod that got very steamy - hard to shower kids in, but worked well for shaving legs.
Our room was right next to the kitchen vent and the smell woke us up in the morning because our AC sucked it all into our room. Not in the sense of oh yummy someone’s cooking breakfast but very overwhelming strong odors. Slept without AC the second night to avoid it.
I would stay here again but would probably try a different hotel first.

The hotel looked nice. There is no restaurant or bar like advertised but I liked that there were hiking trails right next to property. Staff was nice. The place looked like it was clean and taken care of well. EXCEPT the staff blasted the heat in the hotel. We turned down our room heat and it was still sweltering. I'm always cold and love a good warm room. When we checked in the front desk lady was wearing a knit hat and had a space heater pointed at her. We had to assume that the staff cranked the heat because every corner of the hotel was so hot.
I know the hotel is not responsible for the quality of guests it attracts and we had a terrible visit due to the nature of the guests. What you permit, you promote and the hotel promoted their behavior by permitting it.
Our first morning a mom swiped all the fruit, juices, and muffins for her kids who were all watching youtube on their devices full blast. 5 people, whatever thats fine....but the kids weren't eating. She just swiped everything. Then that night from 10:30-2 a.m. we had people running up and down our hall then slamming their hotel doors which made our room shake and give us a headache. When I say slam doors, it was at least three dozen times. Nothing was done about this. Then woke up at three am to things shattering and yelling.
I also had a guy try hitting on me as I was coming in one night, made me very uncomfortable. i did not feel safe. I would not stay here again.

We spent one night for my wife’s birthday. Our grandchildren came over to use the pool which they really enjoyed. The pool area was warm along with the water. One issue with the pool area is it is very dark. It could certainly use more lighting. The room was large the mattresses were comfortable along with the pillows. Would definitely stay there again
