First stay in Tacoma, family member in the hospital. Found this hotel to be in a safe and nice area. The room was very nice and bed was comfortable! Breakfast was very good. And clean inside and out! Helped to soften a difficult time. Thank you!

The hotel is nice, however I booked and paid for a double queen room for 4 people. When I went to check in I was informed that several rooms were unavailable due to maintenance and they only had a single kid bed room available. I had even called earlier in the day to confirm check-in time for our room and no one said anything about not having the room we booked. They did provide us with a rollaway bed but I was still charged full rate and had I know ahead of time that they weren’t going to have a room with the beds we needed I would have checked other hotels for availability. The staff were nice, it’s clean and comfortable, I just felt duped by getting charged for a bigger room that they couldn’t honor. No discount or anything was offered to us.

Great place for families. Buffett had good choices and different variety everyday. Front Desk has excellent customer service and quick response turnover.

Check in was great. Front desk was welcoming. Very kid friendly. The pool was clean and maybe slightly cold, but the kids adjusted. Our room was spacious and clean. Great tv & we’re happy to catch the Warriors game. Also, 100ft from Happy Teriyaki, which worked well. For all of us… a good variety of foods.

I got a call from the front desk asking if there was arguing in my room and I said no since there was no arguing and I just got back to my room after being gone for 2 hours and had only been back for 5 minutes and the lady says we’ll maybe you can turn the tv down and the tv was already low. She wouldn’t listen to nothing I had to say. The noise had to come from another room.. I will never stay there again! A waste of my money, I wasn’t comfortable at all. Not to mention we tried to use the pool and that was horrible. There was about 12 kids in this tiny pool that had no respect that there was a baby in the pool. They were playing football running and jumping and the ball almost hit my grandson. There was no staff dealing with that. Worst experience ever.

Room was very large. We booked for my family of 5 and we ended up with a huge room that could actually sleep 6 (nearly 600 square feet). Room has a coffee in pot, refrigerator, and microwave too. Plus, they are pet friendly so our sweet canine family member could stay with us. They also have a small indoor pool and a gym.
Breakfast was awesome. Make-your-own waffles in two flavors, a different kind of eggs and breakfast meat every day of our stay, plus toasts, muffins, cereals, yogurts, juices and a coffee/tea bar.

Pretty nice place to say for an overnight getaway with the kids. Our room was big and clean and so were all of the common areas

It's a lovely Hilton. There are two of them back to back in the Old DuPont. I have been to both and I like this one better!
There are two of them back to back in the Old DuPont. I have been to both and I like this one better! Very clean! Very pleasant and helpful personnel!
Free breakfast in the modern decorated dining lounge with big screens TVs, fire place. 24/7 coffee and tea station and a shopette.
Pool is not large but very clean, no jacuzzi though. But bathrooms with shower, which was nice after a refreshing pool!
Family friendly 👨👩👧
I was also very pleased with the hostesses on the front and housekeeping. Keep in mind, that if you stay more than a night and want the room to be cleaned - need to inform them 24 hours ahead. COVID and short stuffed.
Gym and laundry room for those who stay longer. Very suitable for military families!
The area around is very very safe with patrol cars crushing, lit up. Hilton is located in the historic DuPont's downtown with buildings dated back to beginning of the 20th century. Quaint and full of history of the PNW.
Free parking. Right off I-5. You can walk to sequalitchew creek trail which is roughly 2 miles hike to the Sound.
