Holiday Inn Express Springfield, an IHG Hotel

The hotel was fairly modern looking. It appeared that it had been recently updated. The room was clean and relatively efficient. The beds and pillows were comfortable. I wish I understood the ventilation systems in bathrooms these days. There was no fan. But, not a problem. No lingering odors and condensation cleared away from the mirror in about 1 minute. We had little need to interact with staff. Check in and check out were easy. The staff was friendly enough. Breakfast was about what one would expect at this price range. They do have a pancake maker, hot eggs, biscuits, bacon one day, sausage the next, potatoes, toast, cereal, a selection of juices etc. We have family in a assisted living facility near by. So we will probably be staying here in the future.

We had a WONDERFUL experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. And would choose it again if we ever come back to Springfield!!!! Our only complaint was that we felt like the female life guard at the pool was dressed VERY inappropriately for a family hotel. She was wearing a 2 piece bathing suit …and the bottoms were THONGS…just a thin piece of fabric in the front and in the crack of her back side. Not many people were at the pool but the ones who were there had children. We were there with our 13 year old grandson and were very embarrassed! I voiced my opinion to the gentleman at the front desk when we checked out.

Last minute trip with my husband and 3 children. The pull out couch had blood stains on the sheet that was on the mattress. It was New Year’s Eve and there were people in the highway loud at 3 in the morning.

Clean room, large queen beds, breakfast in the morning, convenient to family for the holiday, courteous staff.

This is our second time staying at this hotel and we highly recommend it for families. It’s easy to get to, lots of options for food outside & of course the breakfast provided was awesome…the 1 minute pancake maker was mind blowing for our kids! The staff were very nice & extremely helpful during our stay. The toilet became clogged & the front desk had a maintenance guy up ASAP to fix it at 10:30pm! We will stay here again.

Pool hours are not good because family like to enjoy it early; not until 2 pm

This hotel took good care of my family-a funeral group. Breakfast was great! Check in was careful and thorough. Rooms were clean. The front desk professional and responsive to our party. Thank you, all, for caretaking during an emotional time.

Only bad experience was when my wife went to get breakfast and brought back to room the milk was spoiled. Which was major drama for a few minutes. Other than that our stay was pleasant and very close to our kids house for the gender reveal for our grandson in October.

We really enjoyed how the hotel was right at the exit of the highway. There is also a very large shopping radius around the hotel. My father needed a barber and there just happened to be one right across from the hotel. The continental breakfast was a very big perk for our trip as well. The gym seemed well equipped, it even had a variety of weights. I didn’t enjoy a workout because I was with my child but the gym was inviting. The room was comfortable and our room had a view of the highway. At first I thought it would be noisy but it is far enough away that we didn’t have any noise disruption from the highway. The room had a blow dryer, an iron and ironing table, and a Keurig (modern compared to others with coffee pots). This hotel is also located only 17 minutes away from the Pentagon which is great since that’s where we visited. Overall a very good stay, with no complaints.

The hotel is old and outdated but the room was clean. The shower was almost off of the wall in our room. There is no appointment bed if somehow you are a family of 5. Employees were pleasant and very helpful. This is why I rate it good.
