Have become a regular here with monthly visits to new grand children Original old Vermont inn ….but clean, nice people breakfast and fair price Suits us well

The hotel is nice enough, our room was comfortable and warm. Hot water at the bathroom sink took an age to come but the shower was fine. The staff we met were nice too but the thing that really bugged us was the standard of breakfast. A choice of four kids cereals, some breakfast bars, a small orange and a small bun. There wasn't any juice and the coffee maker dribbled a thimble full in about ten minutes. It really was the poorest effort of a breakfast in all the hotels I have stayed in in the USA, and I have stayed in a lot!!!

This beautiful hotel, originally from the 1700s, on the National Register of Historic Properties is just right for those who love history and beautiful buildings. We were located on the 4th floor and the tiny, antique elevator is only run by staff, so we really planned our trips up and down the stairs. There is no AC, but we didn't need it. The bedding and towels are excellent and although the floor slants, this was part of the hotel's charm. While this might not be the best place for children, we had interesting conversations with the hotel owner and really enjoyed our stay.
