Hampton Inn Houston/Stafford

It was a family trip to celebrate our Aunt's 92nd birthday! Our rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was just what we needed. Great eggs, sausage, waffles and of course the coffee and juices.

Arrived and there was NO room for me-late night and had to search for other accommodations with small children involved! Terrible experience-then had to deal with refund since I had already paid! Supposed to be coming but not received yet! Hampton blamed Expedia…just a BIG mess!

I will begin with the positive. The two staff members we encountered at the front desk were very polite and helpful. That's about where it ends, at the front desk. The building was not in good shape. There were signs of wear and tear everywhere. There were signs of cheap repairs everywhere. There was trash overflowing the trashcan on the third floor near the elevator for at least 24 hours, if not longer. We only ever encountered a cleaning staff member on the day we checked out. At breakfast, there was nothing to drink. No coffee (machine broke). No juice. No milk. No water. My kids had to choke down their meal. The hot tub looked like a porta potty at the state fair. It was disgusting. My wife saw two insects in our room. Unfortunately, this hotel was not clean. It never felt clean. I could not, in good conscious, recommend a stay here. There are several other hotels within eyesight of this one, one of those is likely a better option.

Rules for cleaning and getting clean towels were posted on my bathroom mirror. I requested clean towels, returned to my room after seven hours dirty towels still on bathroom floor as instructed, no clean towels. I had to go downstairs and pickup clean towels. I forgot and left my clothes bag in the closet and thNl you my family member who was there for another day was able to pick it up. The dining area and breakfast meal was great.

Nice place for the price. Indoor pool but not heated and spa was Luke warm for the kids. Breakfast was very good.

The breakfast and the woman running it was great. The woman at the front desk when we checked in was not friendly at all. We asked for a pool towels and she gave us two for our family of three and didn’t say a word. The pool was cold and the hot tub was almost as cold as the pool.

The room was clean but my sheets had stains on it. The rooms A.C. Did not work so we spent our days out with family and the nights it was comfortable enough to sleep but was still hot

Staff was so kind. Room was comfortable. My wife wanted to sleep in on Mother's Day so I went to the Lobby and made her a breakfast with a tray and served her breakfast in bed. Was awesome. The kids loved the indoor pool.

Overall hotel was clean. Breakfast area n service was really very good. But bathroom was not in good condition. Bath tub had some stains n my kids were not ready to take a bath due to those red stains. Room was clean. TV Remote was missing from the room , we picked it from front desk. But it was not working so we had to call them again for correct TV remote. Other guests were complaining again AC not working in their rooms, luckily our room had AC working but cooling was consistent. But staff was helpful and friendly , breakfast was good.

After the first evening my entire family woke up incredibly congested and miserable. The humidity in the building was awful and so hot and muggy in the hallways then freezing in the bedrooms. The next morning we were getting up and looked up and noticed a ring of mold surrounding the fire prevention sprinkler. Pretty sure that’s where the sickness was coming from as my entire group who had several rolls booked on the same floor experienced the same symptoms.
