Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Pearland, an IHG Hotel

The hotel was clean and comfortable. In a good, central location with plenty of parking available. The pool was decent too. My only complaint was that when we went to the pool area with the kids, there was a woman that came out to smoke right by the pool even though there are no smoking signs all over the property. We asked the receptionist for assistance and she said that she would ask the manager but she never did and nothing was done about it. Other than that, it was good overall and I would still recommend it to anyone looking for a decently priced conveniently located hotel in Pearland.

I had higher hopes for Holiday Inn Express. It was located in a "nicer" part of the area so I initially felt safe staying there alone with my daughter while in town to see family for Christmas. After we got to the room and it had a mildew smell, it did have a very old style floor standing heating/air unit, so that was disappointing because they are loud & in efficient at controlling the temp. In the restroom it appeared clean on the surface but there were dirty used towels shoved behind the clean ones. I questioned the cleaniness of the bedsheets as there was some staining so we slept on top of the comforter. It was so late at night that when my daughter & I decided to leave & check right back out their was no staff at all at the front desk & honestly we didn't feel safe walking across the lot to our car. The hotel is next to some industrial looking building and all night we heard a lot of commotion coming from there even though the building seemed closed with no lights on. The whole vibe was just off. It is rated 2.5 stars, but I would say 1 star is more fair. The young gentleman that checked us in was very friendly though. We left as soon as the sun broke & checked out a day early.

Overall the hotel was a excellent choice, room was very clean , family friendly, great customer service I would recommend this hotel to others.
