Luxury Downtown Dallas Stay by Amyfinehouse

The stay wasn’t bad but I was unaware of the area in which it’s located not being very kid friendly. The process to drop your car off at the valet and get to the room was a bit annoying as well and complicated at check in. Lots of homeless people around the building as well, not the end of the world but something I didn’t see in any reviews.

Parking our oversized vehicle was impossible, but this wasn’t the biggest issue. The biggest issue was the homeless population in the area and making it unsafe to enter and leave with our children and maneuvering luggage and groceries into the building was inconvenient.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Lack of signage on building to identify if we were in the right place. Homeless surrounding the property. Homeless inside the building because front door didn't require a code to open. I had my family with and this felt very unsafe. Halls were dark, reaked of smoke, and appeared to still be under construction. Room code into our room didn't work. Messaged and called with no response for over 1/2 hour. Then got told I probably didn't enter it correctly even though we tried many times in a half hour. Ironically it worked after they finally replied. Got inside to find a nice present someone left in the toilet and it was obvious someone had laid or sat on the bed. At this point I didn't allow my family to stay here! I read all the review replies on line, but don't believe them when they say they want to take care of your issues. I informed them of all these issues and was told they were all out of their control. I informed them they were all in their control other than the smoke smell and was basically told they were sorry. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!

This apartment was beautiful, but I have seen others for cheaper on Expedia. I called and asked for a early check in because the other place I booked didn’t mention the 5 flights of stairs and I have had 4 foot surgeries. So I called the property and thought how amazing that someone understood that I was traveling out of state and had nowhere to go for 4 hours until their check in, so I had already checked out of the hotel I had to unexpectedly spend $170 on because I couldn’t do the stairs, and I received paperwork stating that the “friendly” early check in was an additional $89 on top of the $200 deposit. Worse visit to Dallas to visit my children due to all of the unexpected lodging expenses- when I wasn’t told on the phone about the extra $89, I thought the company was just a genuinely nice understanding company.

The unit itself was excellent! Very spacious with large rooms that was great for my family of 6. Valet parking was very nice and free! It was convenient to have the car called up with your phone. I've read reviews of this place before I booked and saw many mentions of homeless population around the area but I didn't think it would be that bad, but it was that bad. I couldn't open the blinds because it opened to the park in front of the city hall and all you saw was homeless people and they can see straight into the room as well because I was in the second level. I can't blame the property owner/managers for homeless people around but if I were to book again, I'd ask for the highest level room if that's possible. Furniture, tv, and kitchen equipment was a bit outdated but I wasn't in Dallas to live in the room so it wasn't much of a factor for me. The room does not absorb sounds very well so it echoes tremendously. It would be nice if they could add some sort of sound absorbing art work or decor to reduce the echoing. I only stayed in one room and it may not be so in other rooms but this echoed like you were in a cave.

It was amazing for my birthday stay. I loved it and my family loved it as well!!!

The apartment was beautiful! I love the vibe and it was great for our family of three. It was like being at home with all of the conveniences such as a full kitchen, living room and washer/dryer. The gym was amazing and the pool was nice and cool.

The apartment itself was very nice … but smelt strongly of marijuana along with rest of the building.. the neighborhood was the main down fall… several homeless people and there were always people standing around the entrance smoking.. it is walkable to the farmers market and a few downtown attractions but nothing right next to it… and would not want to walk neighborhood at night. the valet parking was nice just have to overlook the set up.. scary black plastic tent… worried at first but they took great care of car were quick and polite. Nice big apartment would be great for families or groups.. just wish neighborhood was a little better.. also host was great and quick to answer questions
