Homewood Suites by Hilton Irving - DFW Airport

I was skeptical at first due to some low star reviews but I’m glad I booked this hotel. Family was traveling for a basketball tournament and this hotel was perfect because it has a half basketball court that my kids used multiple times during our stay. The fitness room was a plus, it had weight set , weight balls, elliptical, treadmills and bike. Rooms were clean and looked to be freshly painted. I will definitely stay again!!!! This hotel is great for travelers in and out of DFW airport. Free shuttle service to and from the airport. Parking is available for $12 a day. The rooms were very clean as well as the entire property. Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend this hotel. They also have two bedroom suites if traveling with family.

They over booked our room. Our family is 2 adults and 6 (3 to 16) kids we booked the suite so we all could be in the same room we called the hotel to make sure we were able to still check in late(2am) the hotel verified everything and said we were good to go. An hour later we got another call saying we didnt have a room and they over booked. We were 2 hours away from being there at the hotel from a 12 hr drive.

Staying at Homewood was great. The rooms were clean and I enjoyed the kitchenette. It was nice having a room for the kids with a pullout couch. The heater in the pool wasn’t working so the water was very cold so we didn’t get to go in the pool much, the staff was nice and the breakfast was OK. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and the large space. PS, this is for all hotels: please have sink steps for small children. This would be very helpful when they need to wash their hands and brush their teeth.

This review is for the 2 bedroom suite. We needed lodging for our family as we traveled with 3 of our daughters (2 are adults) and our adult disabled son. While wheelchair accessibility is always a priority, we also needed space for all of us, and we wanted to be close to the home of the family we were visiting. So I had 3 priorities when searching for lodging: accessibility, space, and location. Price was important as well, but I knew we would have to pay extra to get what we needed. Homewood Suites met our needs very well without breaking the bank. The 2 bedroom suite had plenty of space. Each bedroom was very large with its own tv, closet, dressing area, and bathroom. One had 2 queen beds and the other had a king bed. The living room between the bedrooms was small but was big enough to accommodate our son's wheelchair and cart full of medical equipment. It had a pull-out couch where he slept. The kitchenette was tiny, but had a full-size fridge, 2 burner stove, microwave, sink, coffee maker, dishes, utensils, etc. The table served us as an extra countertop space. We were not able to book the accessible 2 bedroom suite, as there is only one at this property, so we had a few challenges, mostly with toileting and bathing our functionally quadriplegic son. We brought our Showerbuddy collapsible shower chair and we used it over the toilet, but the tubs were too narrow to place the shower chair in, so we had to lift our son into and out of the tub for a bath.

Traveled with 2 small kids. Staff friendly and helpful. Room very spacious and clean, breakfast area clean as well (food was much better than some other places). BIGGEST bummer was lack of cable channels. We only got the local basics — seems like full cable is pretty standard these days but this hotel deprived us of that experience. Indoor pool wasn't heated, which is always kind of a letdown, but they had a bathroom right in the pool area. One small elevator, only slightly inconvenient; our room's toilet also had a slight water leak but not so much that we bothered to report it. Still, above average overall!

Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff, including housekeeping staff were extremely friendly and helpful to our family.

We checked in there because we were going to Japan for a trip.The staff was very friendly and the rooms are very clean.Highly recommended for big families,they have a shuttle bus.

When we arrived in Dallas for a quick overnight layover, we thought getting to the hotel would be easy, but the shuttle service was not available. We are a family of 7, so we ended up taking a taxi and an uber (because we didnt all fit), but the hotel was kind enough to reimburse us for the expense. That did help make up for the inconveneince. Check in process was easy. The room itself was a little older looking than what I had expected, but it was clean and a great size. The kitchen did have ants in the morning. They were all over the baby's water cup in the kitchen, but oddly not on the food we had left out. Thirsty ants! Breakfast was pretty good. Good variety of items!
