Booking through Orbitz they treat you as a stepchild. You will
Not get a room higher than 8th floor even though they go up to 20th floor, they clearly tell you that oh you are a third party booker. The rooms are mediocre might as well stay at a holiday inn: parking is $60.62 cents, nothing is free. My room was extremely disappointing and the view since I payed for a room with a view left me embarrassed with my guest, even though I paid over $368 a night. Embarrassing

Our stay was very nice, the kids really enjoyed the pool, it is small but we got there before it was too crowded. I would however suggest at least 1-2 options that might be kid friendly in the pool bar menu, maybe quesadillas or chicken fingers these make for great finger foods for adults as well as children, being alone without hubby it was a challenge to feed them something without taking them out of the pool and going downstairs. The waitress was very nice but she said they wouldn’t bring anything up even if we called it in, we had to pick it up. If hubby would’ve been there one of us could’ve gone downstairs and picked up without pulling kids out of pool. Also, We stayed for two nights and didn’t get room service even though I never had the “do not disturb” sign up, coffee refill was my biggest need. Overall great hotel, very clean like most Westin’s, location is great so we will most likely stay again but next time we will make sure we plan Pool visits in advance with snacks/food for the kids and will make sure To request room service in advance.

We barely stayed an hour. The pool was so crowded my kids couldn’t get in. Not a kid/family friendly pool

We only stayed for one night, the room was very clean and modern!! Our room overlooked 6th street, my only complaint is that I wish there was another pool for families with kids. The pool was on the 20th floor on the roof with a bar. There were so many people that we couldn't find a seat or get in the pool. Other than that, our stay was awesome!!!

Nicely appointed hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool on the roof is cool, but it's much more an adult scene than a kid-friendly environment. If the pool is drawing your interest and you'll have kids in tow, you probably want a different hotel. $50/night parking is a little steep, I think.

We called a month before booking to make sure we could see the fireworks from the rooftop pool. Told the person that answered we were coming with kids and looking for a kid friendly place to celebrate the 4th of July. We were leaving a previous hotel specifically for a hotel to watch fireworks with the kids and not have to go out into the crowds. We were told the rooftop has a perfect view of the fireworks and gets closed off to only hotel guests. When we got to the hotel on the 4th the front desk tells us immediately there is no view of the fireworks but gave locations to walk to. The rooftop pool was packed with college age people standing and drinking in the pool the kids could not even swim at all, let alone get into the pool. We were told capacity was 36 people and they were already over 55 people up there at 3pm
We had to scramble last minute and find and pay for somewhere else for the kids to swim and watch fireworks.

This location is right around the corner from all the action of 6th street. Suprisingly it wasn't crazy I had know Idea I was close to all the action until I went for a scooter ride. Pet friendly was a plus and they Stella restaurant was very good. Even the locals eat there. Nice roof top pool and looking forward to staying here again with my fur baby!

I thought from the booking we would have a nice room with a view (that's the reason we paid more to stay at this hotel. Room was clean but nothing fancy. Advertised as being a family hotel but it wasnt. We wanted to take the kids swimming but it was just a bar on the roof with a pool beside it. Definitely not kid friendly. Babies were very disappointed and so were we. Upon checking in, staff was rude. I asked where i could find out room and she told me there was the elevator and my room number was on my key. I told her i seen the room number but how do i get there. Her response was we're not allowed to say the room numbers outloud. While waiting on our family to circle the block to pick my father n law and i up, the valet parking guy started yelling at my father n law to get out of the doorway. (All he was doing was standing there.) We were highly dissatisfied with our stay. We could've stayed at many at many other hotels for a cheaper rate but wanted a nice family get a way. Will not be doing that again.

Disappointment on many levels. Parking is a rip-off as valet, being the only option, is $50/night - while the valet merely uses the public parking lot down the street for $20/night. However, the attendants are hardworking and I give them credit.
Our “City View” room turned out to be an “Alley/AC View” so we requested a room change. The new room on the “opposite” side of the hotel was merely adjacent and up 2 floors with the same “Alley/AC View”. This was a beehive of activity filled w/ countless homeless people engaging in drug deals and dumpster diving - great ambiance for a romantic getaway. Our room was dirty w/ stains on bathroom walls and just grimy.
The pool was our primary reason for booking this hotel. Upon arrival the scene resembled animals searching for water in the Serengeti. Hats off to the photographer and their magic lens. It was more like a hot tub w/ capacity of 38. Security seems to have troubles keeping non-guests out of pool area w/ “tiki bar” adjacent. Views are nice but don’t expect to relax by the pool, or even think about bringing kids. Stella, the restaurant, is great - but not a reason to stay.
This experience and associated costs are hard to swallow and I feel that a kick to the sac would be more pleasant. Bottom line, if you’re a twenty-something looking to get radical and party your a@$ off you probably won’t notice the negatives and you’ll fit right in with all the rooftop instagramming, drunk bros on the elevators and tank tops.
