I was told my staff member Rodney that I wasn’t allowed to park my car at the entrance to unload my belongings. I was traveling with my blind mother. I parked at the front door (not blocking traffic), walked my blind mother inside, sat her in the lobby, loaded my cart, & proceeded to the elevator. My plan was to take out bags to the room first, bring the cart back, take my Mom up to the room, then move my car. I simply couldn’t guide her & push the cart at the same time. I didn’t want to leave my belongings unattended in the lobby with my blind mother. As I was waiting for the elevator, Rodney (an employee) ran inside screaming at me from across the lobby. “You can’t park your car there…you’re blocking the entrance.” I was parked out front no less than 5 minutes. I had NO intentions of “leaving” my car parked there. He told me I was being difficult & I needed to move my car right now. Even the lady at the front desk that night stated that I was in the wrong for parking my car at the front entrance to unload. Are you freaking kidding me? Another employee that was leaving also yelled at me saying I was being mean! I explained that I was simply a guest trying to manage unloading my stuff, take care of a handicapped person, and move my car all by myself. The next morning the GM made Rodney apologize to me all while he was still trying to argue with me the entire time. I paid full price for my room and left. I will NEVER stay at Fairfield ever again!!

No linens in the room for sofa bed & I did make sure to say 3 people. 2 adults & one 17 year old child. He was not sleeping with us. When we asked for linens there were no pillows available. Also, only 2 towels & washcloths. Ball was dropped. Our check-in person was great. Breakfast was terrible. The food was microwaved in the “kitchen” and put in serving dishes. Highly possible that the eggs were dehydrated and staff just added water. House keeping just knocked on door (8:30am) and tried to enter in under 3 seconds. Our “maid service please” sign was on inside of door. We don’t checkout until 11:00am. Not sure why they thought it was acceptable to try to come in so early and clean. Just happy we were in the room to stop them from coming in.

My boyfriend and I made the drive home from Florida to St. Louis and chose this place as our midway point. We picked it specifically for the hot tub and to our surprise there wasn’t one. There was a small pool that was apparently “warm” filled with kids and no jets. We stood waiting for almost 5 minutes just to check in and the women that checked us in had little to no info about the “hot tub”. When we got to our room is was clean for the most part. The bathroom could have had a better clean up. We had a reservation for 2 adults and received only 2 towels, one that could wrap a small child and an adult sized one. When we called about getting more towels they told us we would have to come get them. Breakfast was complimentary but it was nothing to write home about. All in all I was very disappointed with my $200 stop after a long drive. We woke up immediately ate what we could manage and rolled out.

This was our first couples getaway without kids in 10 years, and we were not disappointed! Room was clean, bed was comfortable with fresh, spotless sheets, complimentary breakfast was fantastic, and the bathroom was stellar with a huge walk-in shower. Staff was friendly and very helpful, and the spa area was clean and relaxing. We will definitely stay here again.
