Hotel On Phillips

TV did not work in my original room. We were moved into a better room in a short time. The room was immaculate and the staff was very understanding. My family member has dementia and became quickly agitated because the TV would not work immediately.

The hotel is very nice with comfortable beds and luxury finishes. Parking was very limited because a bunch of prom kids took pictures in the hotel. Upon check-in the person at the front desk said it isn’t usually this crowded. We were welcome to pay $15 per day for valet parking. Didn’t really expect to be told. “tough luck” when asking where to park.

Located in the heart of the downtown scene in Sioux Falls, great restaurants, bars, shopping and events all within walking distance. Think the bar in the hotel is the swankiest in town! Room was very comfortable, well appointed and designed. Will be back for the next family wedding!

It was recommended by a family friend and it was very nice and comfortable. Will stay again if we are in the area.

Let me start by saying this is a beautiful and nostalgic hotel. The rooms were very modern and sheek, as well the shower and bed being upgraded and comfortable. Couple problems we were not ready to deal with that left us to the point of grabbing our bags and leaving at 2:30am. We stayed on the 5th floor and you’d have thought we were level with the street for how noisy it was. We could hear everything going on-on the streets below and by 3am it finally stopped. For a brand new hotel, thoughts to have windows that could block noise obviously didn’t come into play for this location… so if you crave sleep, do not expect to get it. Secondly, the pillows… I am not one to complain, but my goodness were the 4 pillows huge. My neck still hurts from sleeping on (one) them. And parking… it’s a joke, good luck. I read there was valet, but didn’t see nor was offered. I hope this review provides more feedback to the hotel vs an individual or family trying to stay, as a way to ‘improve’ your location. It is a nice place, just needs some revamping to make it great… especially being the most expensive hotel in Sioux Falls. Not worth it. Thank you.

The hotel was nice. However, prom was going on so the lobby was packed with kids taking prom pictures. Also the parking is not great. We had to park across the street due to no parking in their very small lot.
