Staybridge Suites North Charleston, an IHG Hotel

The best part of the stay was DeJa, a woman who works the front desk. She tried so hard to make it a great stay. The room wasnt bad, but a few things to improve: the pool was so cold my kids left it because they were shivering so bad. The woman who helped with breakfast Mon-Fri clearly didnt want anyone asking her for anything and 5 min before closing time promptly shut everything off; there was a strange man loitering in the lobby, pool and common areas and clearly made folks uncomfortable but nobody did anything to remove him; the shower area had no ventilation so every time we took a shower it got covered with water droplets, which made it then a challenge for any items to dry in there.

The rooms are cleaner than most hotels. The suite with a kitchen is very roomy when you have little ones. A toddler & infant with a dog in our case. Very comfortable and the breakfast is nice. It would be nice to see more variety in the breakfast. Almost every morning for two weeks was grits and eggs with either sausage/ham. It got a little old quick. Saturday’s they have bacon at least! The staff is very kind, friendly, and willing to help. Did I mention the free washer & dryer usage. If you have kids, you understand how amazing this is!! I was overall very pleased with our stay and would return again. If the lack of variety for breakfast for an extended stay is my only complaint, then I’d say the stay was a success!

Great central location - 15 minutes from everything! Easy access to the city, Landson, and the drive to the beach seemed shorter than stated, though traffic can increase travel times from 20 to 40 minutes quickly. The room was very clean. Shower had great water pressure. Counter service was incredibly friendly. Wish they had complimentary water!!! Our fan had to be on high in order for it not to make a bed-shaking, eardrum penetrating humming sound. Also, there were no recycling bins, and toiletries are not environmentally friendly, so I'm not sure why they have an eco-friendly rating. These were the two disappointments. Coffee was good, didn't make me jittery or cause stomach issues like many cheap hotel coffees do. Breakfast was solid, no complaints. I would definitely stay here again, whether romantic or with my children as a family.

The front desk attendant Laytoya was wonderful she was very warm and friendly felt like talking to a family friend. We had issues with our room key the second night but she was quick fixing it. the breakfast buffet options were great and offered variety the staff was polite and the overall location was clean and comfortable loved the king bed and option of choosing our floor we wanted to be on from what was available, other than one of the elevators being down and the towel rack above the toilet being crooked and it's location above the toilet and not enough towels overall was stay was great for the price for the location not far from everything, my husband also said the TV being in a weird spot was awkward but other than that we'd stay again also the seating area where you eat breakfast is gorgeous and feels almost like a mountain lodge

reasonably priced, safe family stay, breakfast is standard, laundry facility useful, but expect some delay( 1 washing machine 4 dryers). Good feature of outside gas grill which you can you use to cook. Some good restraints within 5 -15 min drive.

This was a very comfortable stay for our family of four. Staff was very hospitable. Breakfast was wonderful.

Our family enjoyed a long weekend at Staybridge. The facility was clean, there was plenty of parking, it was an excellent location, nice indoor pool, and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was good, as expected for complimentary hotel breakfast. I would stay again if in town.

We stayed 3 nights for our sons baseball tournament and Called ahead to make sure room was ready upon arrival. Room 521 had a strong smell as if someone had been smoking inside for days. Gross!!! Especially for a family with young children. We left the door open while unpacking to see if that would help with the smell. We were tired from a late game so I was willing to make it work. After bathing and feeding my children, I started preparing their meal and noticed dishes and silverware were greasy, dirty or barely washed from the previous guest. I had to hand wash every item myself prior to use. When I opened the dishwasher, live baby roaches started coming out of it. Disgusting! Took pictures and called front desk immediately and got someone to come see it for themselves. They apologized and found us another room (401) on the other side of the building, then told us we would be receiving a discount. It was late at night but we moved right away. The next day, they asked if the new room was better and told me the discount request was approved. By then, I was already concerned with the overall cleanness and sanitary condition of the property. At checkout, I inquired about the discount and they said nothing could be done. The roach incident was documented in their system. I would not write this review if things were solved at checkout. But I guess if you book a room in a decent hotel and end up with live bugs crawling around they will send you back to Expedia for resolution.

Such great experience that Staybridge has become the official hotel of the Morales family.
