Home2 Suites by Hilton Greenville Downtown

I was traveling alone with my 4 sons. The front desk staff called our room repeatedly after 9pm and asked in a hostile manner if my sons were all in my care at the moment she was one of them wearing an orange shirt. I had been woken up from a deep sleep and so I responded that all my kids were asleep in the room. I asked why and the staff responded that someone in the hotel had accused my son of stealing alcohol from the front desk. I was upset confused and angry at this but also exhausted from a 9hr drive that day. I plan to follow up with hotel management on Monday. I typically love staying at Hilton Home2 suites when we travel together bc of the large rooms and amenities but I cannot recommend this one.

Clean and family friendly hotel

I booked a room on hotels.com with a confirmation that my room is guaranteed. The room was for Saturday December 9th at the Home2Suites in Greenville SC on N Main St. Itinerary # 72706234709217. Before booking, I read the description of the room, which said it had two queen beds, and a pull out couch. This was going to work very well for us as my wife and I were traveling with our three oldest kids. This was tobe their first time going out of town for a big concert and they were excited. We planned to get to the hotel late afternoon to check in and get ready. From There we were to head to dinner and then the concert. We checked in at the front desk of the hotel after valeting our car (the hotel had no other parking but I knew this as it was described on the website. We were given two keys to the room and told how to find our room. When we arrived at the room, it had one queen bed and a pull out sofa. Clearly there had been a mistake, so the five of us carried all of our things and headed back to the front desk to inquire about being given the wrong room. After a few minutes, we were told that that was the only room available and they didn’t have any other options. They said that Expedia hadn’t sent the confirmation until the night before by which time they didn’t have any rooms like the one I reserved. I said that that was unacceptable and that I wanted to talk to a manager . The lady helping me said she would need to call her manager and after a few minutes she was

First I need to thank Moe and Taelee for helping me solve small billing issues when I was checking out. They were both professional and straightforward, which made the discussion low stress and super calm. Taelee was also super welcoming to our family and doted on our dog and was kind to our children. The valet on duty with her Thanksgiving morning was a cool guy as well and genuinely enjoyed how active my toddler was. The other valet staff were sweet people too. I really felt like they all enjoyed their jobs and enjoyed working at Home2 Suites, which really helped with the atmosphere. I love the availability of board games in the lobby and the closeness to downtown. We had a great stay. It was clean as well - not a fake grimy clean you get at some hotels but a real and genuine clean.

The room was not ready at check-in time despite confirming 2 separate times that we would be checking in at 3:00. We waited over an hour in the lobby to get in the room. The front desk staff was not helpful, forthcoming about the delay, or appeared to care that my family was camped out in the lobby with our suitcases and bags while guest after guest checked in without delay.

Home 2 Suites was great as always. The hotel was super clean, staff was great and the valet service was seamless. The hot breakfast was perfect for our whole family. Great location and will certainly return next time we are in town.
