Our family had a great stay in the Francis Marion Suite. It was comfortable and large. The hotel is historic and well kept. We had a great stay

The Francis Marion Hotel was elegant, inviting, and clean. The management and staff were helpful, kind, thoughtful and considerate. They anticipated our every need. The hotel is centered in the shopping area with great restaurants and Jazz clubs within walking distance. And there was free bus shuttle transportation to every part of the city of Charleston. I would stay at the Francis Marion Hotel again and recommend it to all of my family and friends visiting Charleston. It is a must see city ! With excellent accommodations!!!

The rooms were really small.. the area around was great to walk around and had easy access to tons of places to eat and shop! Being with 2 kids it was great to have a great area to walk! The Bathrooms are so small the toilet and sink are very close to each other. It is a pretty hotel though! The staff at the doors in front were not very friendly or offered help to open doors and bring it luggage’s since we did not valet and checking in was not very Friendly either! Overall nice just bc of location!

Absolutely lovely hotel in a perfect location. The parking was convenient, the staff was friendly, and the restaurant was exceptional. The whole family enjoyed our stay.

We are a family of 3 and stayed at the Francis Marion for a long weekend to attend a wedding. The hotel's history and charm are enjoyable. The room we were in was small, along with the bathroom, and there was some bubbled paint, and chipping in bathtub. Staff were friendly and helpful and for the price, you can't beat the location.

Our family had a mini reunion here. The accommodations were excellent, staff very helpful and friendly. Food in Swamp Fox was delicious. We were most pleased.

Check in was over 30 minutes late from check in time posted for 4:00pm. Clerk tried to submit incorrect dollar amount; did not recognize room was pre-paid. Room was not cleaned very well, garbage still in bins, candy and a child’s bracelet on floor.

Breakfast room service was 45 min. The waiter advised she did not know it was ready. I asked for a late checkout and was treated like I had asked for a kidney. Odd that the hotel in all other aspects was marvelous.
