We came for a family wedding but were not able to check in because the computer was updating ( why not schedule it at night instead of the middle of the day). The computer was also not working when we tried to check out. The room was comfortable and clean but the elevator was dirty and not appealing.

They said that there was a overflow of water from somewhere and three rooms were affected. However, when they routed us to another hotel, I was told they overbooked. Then they put us at a hotel, which was a Tru by Hilton. Basically, a children’s playground. The Hampton Inn personnel told me that we had no problem that there would be transfer of funds no issue. We arrived at the Alternate hotel and took another 30 minutes to be arranged. Furthermore, it was a hotel with young children so it was like a playground in the lobby. It’s not what we wanted. It was further away from the hotel initially booked. I was very disappointed. It may travel to the event we were attending much more cumbersome. It was really more like A motel. There was no closet just hooks. It was below the standard of hotel that I wanted from my family.

The front desk staff are not real friendly. One lady told us that she didn't have a breakfast bag when we asked for it and told us it was past breakfast time. Did not offer to make one when they have the stuff sitting right there to make, it isn't like it's a big breakfast because with Covid they are just giving you an orange that isn't ripe, a muffin, a granola bar and a water. It wasn't until i mentioned that it would be too difficult to make one up, then she offered. The room door barely shut and you could hear everything in the hall, specifically the rude guests that let their kids run up and down the hall while they sat outside our room window drinking all night. The kids were also outside our window screaming with their parents sitting right there. I called to the desk twice to ask to have them be quiet. The first time the person at the desk knew exactly who i was talking about because he said they are doing it again. So my question is why weren't they stopped if other people had already complained? And why did i have to call down twice to get them to be quiet? This went on for the 2 of 3 nights we stayed.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. First night remote for tv didn’t work and never resolved until I complained the second day. When I returned from my business meeting at night my room was never cleaned. I was told it was because of COVID. Yet the hotel allowed a huge bbq in the back of the hotel for way past midnight. People with no masks and children running around. This was the worst experience at a Hampton Inn. Normally the hotel is well run.

Our family of 4 needed a place close to visit relatives. I originally booked one room with two beds, not paying attention to the fact they were DOUBLE SIZE beds, really too small for all of us. They were able to accommodate by finding us identical connecting rooms, but had to pay for the extra room. They did match the rate of our original. There was an outdoor pool, but water was very "murky". Free breakfast was decent and the rooms were very nice and clean. Bob Evans was right there, and also close by were other restaurants and shopping, even a big movie theater. Right off the interstate, I'm sure it's great for the business traveler.
