Had a great one night visit here! We stay at this facility whenever we go to the Root and it is very accommodating. The walls are a little thin … there was a gentlemen next door who was either praying or singing to himself all night and I’m afraid it kept my sister awake … I slept like a baby.

Overall, the stay was good. The hotel and its surroundings very well taken care of, quiet neighbourhood, good breakfast, outdoor pool. The only problem that I had was that upon checking in I was told that my booking didn't include my pet dog. When I looked for a stay, I used the filter for pet friendliness. Upon booking, there was no place to indicate that a dog would be included with the guests. I've been travelling and staying in motels/hotels for a while. Usually, upon booking in, the hotel clerk would mention about fees if dogs are brought along. So, upon my checking in at Lancaster Inn, I was told that my reservation didn't include a dog and that all the pet-friendly rooms have been booked. Then, I was told that I could have a regular room and an additional cleaning fee on top of the regular pet cleaning fee would have to be charged. This wasn't very welcoming when my family and I arrived at around 11pm. I was told that it was Hotels.com's fault, but it really didn't make any sense. So, my advice to everyone travelling with pets to this place is to make sure to let the hotel know that you are travelling with pets.

It was perfect! Especially for the price!! I was traveling alone with 2 kids and being in a safe area was important to me. The hotel is right next to a farm and some residential areas, yet close enough to restaurants if needed. 25 mins from Hershey which was perfect. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was free and they had biscuits and gravy, make your own waffles, yogurt, boiled eggs and different breads like bagels etc. I will absolutely be back next time we want to go to Hershey Park!

Room was good and they took care of everything. We asked them for. AC unit very noisy. Had to leave a day early due to family illness . Drive to area of interest took to long.

Huge rooms, comfy beds, updated, modern flooring and an amazing shower/bathroom made me so glad I found this gem of a hotel for an impromptu stay to visit family. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and I enjoyed the beautiful surrounding landscape of Lancaster County.

Our stay went well. It was nice having a separate living room since we were traveling as a family. Plus the kitchenette was convenient. It's a well maintained basic hotel.

My husband and I decided to take a mini vacation to Lancaster, PA. My mother came along and so I booked a King Size Suite. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean.
The living (suite) space was nice but it was "cold" in its décor. There was a coffee maker, which is always a plus for me, as well as a microwave, mini fridge, couch, and stove. Although I didn't use the stove, I did use the coffee machine, At times it seems that the outlet was not working so I did have to move it from one location to another (within the same space). Not much of a problem since I was able to enjoy my java. Another bonus was that fresh coffee and hot water was available in the lobby...24/7.
There was a bonus TV in each Suite area. The TV in our room didn't have signal and because of the WIFI connection not being strong overall, it just was a waste (we tried to have a family movie night, after multiple tries we just crammed into the bedroom. ) The housekeeping was the most disappointed. We were given extra soaps, coffee, towels...etc. but our sheets and the bathroom were never cleaned on a daily basis.
The breakfast was ok. If you are looking for a protein start-up of the day, the only thing welcoming are cold hard boiled eggs. Everything else on the menu is carbs. Overall we enjoyed our time and would consider returning in the future.
BTW our room was facing the back of the hotel and the sunset/sunrise view each day was beautiful.

I stayed here recently with my kids for a little getaway, and we absolutely loved it! This hotel is so charming, and the staff are very welcoming. It's nice and quiet too, and I felt very safe and comfortable here which is important when I am traveling with my children. My kids loved the outdoor pool, which is actually larger than it appears on the website. The hotel has a lot of green space, and there are even rocking chairs out front! Our room was clean, and the beds had fresh linens and were so comfortable. I also appreciated that housekeeping came in to take our trash and replace towels for us before our second night stay. We definitely will stay here again!
