I had booked at a different Hampton inn nearby and noted when I reserved that the pool and hot tub were kind of key (kids). The other location very kindly notified me that the hot tub wasn’t working the morning of our arrival and I was able to book here instead with no cancellation fee. It was great - all I need for an affordable mini vacation with my kids. Beds were comfy, shower was hot, staff was kind and relaxed, breakfast was varied, and there’s always coffee. We did a long hike at Ricketts glen and the pool and hot tub were a great treat at the end of the day. Honestly don’t need anything more.

Everything was great. The only issue I had experienced was the man at the front desk was complaining about children being loud in the pool area, but had a group of adults drinking and being loud and obnoxious in the lobby in front of him. Thought it seemed odd and couldn’t have been about the volume level, rather something else, but anywho. Otherwise was great and all other staff was very courteous and friendly.

We liked the property. My kids enjoyed to pool and hot tub. Also, it has gym saloon and the gym saloons open 6 am to midnight. Pool time is open 8 am to 10 pm. Their staffs are very polite and helpful. Breakfast time start 6 am until 10 am. Everything is good. Thank you for everything.

I called to let them know we'd be arriving for a late check in and that we would need a roll-away bed. The bed was already placed in our room and ready to be slept in when we arrived about 12:30 am. It was perfect that we didn't have to wait because our kids were super tired! Would definitely stay again....close to freeway, super clean and accommodating!

The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean! The kids loved the pool area as well. The breakfast was very satisfying as well for being complimentary. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Wilkes Barre.

We arrived and they only had one room with a king sized bed. There were no other rooms available in the hotel or in their partner hotel. After some phone calls the receptionist (Emily) did find a Fairfield Inn 2 miles away with availability but it was midnight by the time we got there with my family of 5. It was not nearly as nice and cost $40 more than my original reservation.

We must’ve drawn the short straw and got a room that stunk. We were offered another room but it didn’t smell much better. It was late and the kids were already asleep, so we stayed. The next morning, the manager told me the room we were in had been smoked in a while back (smoke-free hotel) and they were still having trouble getting the smell out…which is exactly what it smelled like - harsh smelly chemicals over old smoke. She was kind enough to comp the room, but I had a headache and itchy eyes for hours after we left. It’s probably a decent place otherwise, but plan to arrive early enough to go somewhere else if the room stinks.

Stayed here two nights in Aug. with three children. Very nice hotel!! Very Clean!!! The staff was awesome and very attentive! Would stay here again!
