Homewood Suites by Hilton Pittsburgh Southpointe

This property is very convenient for the South Pointe area. There is a little shopping area across the street with dining options. Unfortunately, our room was not cleaned well. It seemed like they rushed through cleaning the room. It was dusty, the dish washer was still running, the 2nd toilet didn’t flush right all weekend, and there was a nicotine product left by a previous renter. We did call maintenance and they snaked the toilet, but it still didn’t flush well. The maintenance person was friendly, though. The front desk staff was nice enough, but there was no real customer service. It definitely seemed like they don’t like working there, at the very least. That said, the sheets were clean, the beds were decently comfortable, they accommodated my family and pets, and it is affordable. So, I’d say if you’re able to book one of the other hotels in the area that would be better. But if this is the only option, it is okay as long as you go in with low expectations.

Property offered a lot of amenities (beautiful patio area, basketball court, and pool) however the condition of the room was poor. There were stains on our bed, the ceiling fan had a clump of dirt, and there was duct tape on the walls/ceilings for some odd reason. The staff were very nice and understanding given that we were traveling with an infant, we checked out into another hotel.

I stayed here for a night with my kids during a long drive. The convenience of this Hilton-affiliated property was great, as I could check in with the app and handle the door myself. However, the shower booth had old water stains and the sink didn't drain well. And the couch had so many stains. I booked a suite/studio with two queen beds, but we received a room with two double beds. Since we arrived at dawn and were very tired, we didn't ask for a change. The breakfast was good, but it was too crowded, and there was no place to sit. Overall, it was okay but the cleanliness needs to be improved.

The staff at Homewood Suites was exceptionally accommodating and friendly. The area was safe and clean. We had several family members staying here and it was great to meet up in the lobby area and outside by the fire. I would definitely stay here again.

The property is in a business park which makes it quite at night. Consistent good experience from this hotel although this visit the furniture in one of the two rooms our family used was nearing its end of useful life

We love this hotel and the employees. We often stay here to visit family and they always take care of us the best they can.

Rooms are starting to look worn and tired. It was hard to sleep, we were woken up around 3am by a group of kids playing basketball outside on the hotel court.

Our room was fantastic. Small problem with the tub and a broken drain. Called front desk at 8am (super busy time) and maintenance was up within 5 mins (more like 3, no kidding!) took care of it and we were on our way. No problems at all. Check in was the easiest I've ever seen, check out as well. I have family in the area and would opt to stay here again, above all others. Breakfast is on par with other full breakfast hotel options. My son was a fan of the fitness room, he rates it better than others he's stayed at. Overall, great stay. Super friendly staff, expedient if there's an issue, clean rooms, quiet night. Everything we needed!

This place is an absolute gem. We ended up getting one of the suites so that we would have two separate rooms as well as a kitchen for two small kids. This worked out great with our two-year-old and a pack and play and our five-year-old that slept on one of the two bags while also giving us some personal space to hang out. They also have an amazing back patio with a fireplace and a basketball court. They also have a nice pool area with hot tub but the kids really enjoyed all being handicap accessible as well. Breakfast was probably one of the nicest and whitest varieties I’ve seen in a hotel . All the staff were very pleasant and we had no concerns with cleanliness or noise. It was also a great location with multiple local restaurants on a little strip right in front of the hotel you can simply walk right over to
