Holiday Inn Express And Suites Dayton East Beavercreek, an IHG Hotel

All the employees were very helpful and kind, interacting with guest as they could. House keep it was very helpful, asking everyday if we needed serving or extra linen or anything cleaned. I like the Dove products. The only problem was the body soap, liquid, leaves heavy oil on the tub and was dangerously slippery and there was no mat or non slip strips on bottom of tub. My daughter has bad knee and was frightened she would fall. This needs addressing ASAP. I found it very very slippery too. Other than that it was very good. The noise was very low outside the room even where there were children. That was very surprising and nice. Breakfast was good but too much of it had sugar, not much choice, even the oatmeal. I had a difficult time selecting anything, all the yogurt had sugar too. People that can’t use sugar have a hard time. Maybe you all could get help with this. Would stay again, just bring more of my own food.

The staff was rude and unhelpful. The “business center” was a table in the middle of lobby in Between checkin area and bfast. It was loud and unable to work. My kids wanted to go swimming- no pool towels available at 10am. Asked for bath towels- they did not have any and suggested I hunt down a housekeeper and ask for some off their cart. Staff was very unhelpful and rude. Locked out of room before check out. Room was clean. Towels were dingy.

This was the best hotel our family has ever stayed. The cleanest, friendliest and most perfect hotel! We will be back! Thank you for everything!

Our stay was not bad, however after returning back to the hotel about 3 am, we went to use the couch bed and upon opening it, we found small bugs on the mattress. We called he front desk who at first said they didn’t jave any extra mattresses, then she called back and said we would have to move to a new room. We declined moving because I had five children with me and we would have to pack up everything and move to another room at 3 am. The clerk said she would provide a credit to balance instead. The morning of checkout I was told by the manager that no discount could be applied and there was nothing that he could do about it.

The hotel was very clean and had a delicious breakfast (better than most hotel breakfasts!). Stan checked us in, he was super nice and when I needed a document printed, he printed for me. Definitely will stay there again when we visit our kids in Dayton.

My kids liked the pancake machine at breakfast, as well as the cinnamon rolls. Our room had a small refrigerator, but I was surprised to not have a freezer compartment inside. The hotel was clean. The pool area is small, so it was LOUD when packed with kids.

Arrived to sign stating front desk staff would return. Talked with others waiting who stated front desk person was not there due to she was up cleaning their room which hadn't been cleaned they discovered on check-in when they went to their room. Wondered if front desk was going to have to leave for next people waiting in line to check in to clean their room as well. Had to get to an event and didn't have time to wait around for a room to be cleaned as it was well after check-in time for reservation so we thought we could quick check in, drop our things, and get to our event - no. Finally given a room to find the keys just issued to us didn't work. Back down to front desk. New keys issued for same original room - keys worked this time BUT we found the room was already rented as other people's personal belongings/bags/suitcases/toiletry kids etc sprawled about room and on beds. Back to front desk who stated sometimes if not rented through Holiday Inn the other renting businesses don't know if one of the rooms they sell is already rented by the hotel. When we questioned this (as we rent via others ie expedia etc frequently) the front desk then changed reason to say it was a computer technical issue. Who knows? Offered us each a "free" drink from beverage fridge and a "free" upgrade to another room. New room floor not vacummed/with glitter and noncarpet area sticky, coffee stains on counter. Just one girl there checking in and cleaning rooms. Pleasant but poor service.
