Great spot for my family to rest on the way to Hill City SD

The check in staff was great. Rooms were affordable, but a bit dated. The door doesn't close unless you physically push it closed, which could be a safety concern if traveling as a single woman or with kids. Pool was dirty with many things floating in it. Bed pillows were really small, but mattress was comfy. Location was great access to the interstate, restaurants, and gas stations.

The staff was super friendly, and helpful. We ended up extending our stay, and they made it super easy. The property was clean, and well maintained. I have yet to be disappointed in a American inn breakfast, and the kids loved the pool area. Would definitely stay again.

Check in was fast and staff was really friendly and helpful. Room is clean and very comfortable. The pool area is well maintained, clean and my children had a great time.

Pool area was nice. Hot tub wasn't hot enough. Traveling with other family members and upon check in, I stated they'd be arriving soon. We wanted rooms near each other but when they checked in they were on the complete opposite end of the hotel and on the 2nd floor. We were on 1st. I asked if we could be switched to at least be closer to them as they were travelling with children and had a suite. The front desk gal said she had no other rooms available. Yet when sitting in the lobby, a gentleman walked in and was able to get a room on the 2nd floor a few doors down from them and he had no reservation. It was frustrating.

This is a well-appointed motel close to shopping, restaurants, the museum center, etc. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and it has a "family-run" vibe even if it is a Wyndham property. Breakfast was especially tasty, and the covered pool and hot tub were welcome and open late for adults.

We found dirty socks in our room plus the floor in the bathroom was not very clean. Used the pool but there were people there that came to use the pool that were not staying in a room and didn’t respect hotel guests. Made use of the pool no fun for my family.
