Holiday Inn Express & Suites Roanoke Rapids SE, an IHG Hotel

Whenever I visit Roanoke Rapids, NC my family and I always stay at this particular hotel. This hotel is the best hands down. I love that the restaurants are within walking distance. My stay wonderful. Breakfast was perfect. I just had 1 minor issues. Our room reeked with bleach. My daughter has asthma and the smell of bleach can cause a flare up with her asthma. The bleach smell was tolerable. I never knew housekeeping for hotels used bleach products. Maybe it's something new. Other than that, our stay was great.

It was ok for a 1 nighter but I didn't realize it was dog friendly. My family is allergic and it made for a rough night. Although not the hotels fault the people above us were very loud with little feet running for hours like into the early am. So sleeping wasn't great.

The hospitality was excellent! Everyone was extremely kinda and friendly. The food area for breakfast was fantastic with a great variety of food options. The room was very clean and had 3 double beds with a couch sitting area which provided plenty of room for our family of 6. I cannot say enough good things and definitely would stay here again!

We stopped here to sleep since it was close to I-95. Overall the stay was good. Beds were comfortable. Our room had a pull out couch which my son decided to sleep on instead of sharing a bed with his brother. When we pulled it out the sheet had already been used, had stains, and food crumbs. Since it was late I just took it off and we used a blanket off the bed since my kids brought their own blankets with them.

My room smells like someone just finished smoking in it. I asked for change of room but told none left. Front desk brought up air freshener and was surprised how bad the smell was, said he’d discount us. Well, never got discount. It was also very noisy at night as my room was right in front of elevator. The room was also damp & blankets felt damp as well. Pancake machine broken in the morning & that was the only thing my kids liked. Overall very disappointing, not staying there again.

We visited here for a family gathering. We felt welcome and comfortable. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The king suite was spacious, well appointed and easy for my husband to navigate on a walker. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

We stay there everytime we travel to see family. Have tried other hotels in that vicinity. This one is best. It is our mid point stop on the way up north. Stay there at least 8 times a year.

Overall ok, but kids played all night in room 325, notified the front desk several times and nothing was done and noises continued. I believe that their Parents were in a different room. The next morning we were a little late getting out because we got very little sleep. An Employee at the hotel aburbtly kbocked on our door at 11:00am, we were running late and his statement was very unprofessional and rude, I will not repeat, but told us that we had 30 minutes to get out. Honestly, if my wife was not there, you all would have had a problem. Yes, Im not confortational, but he brought the confortation and Im in the military and after defending this country, I will not tolerate that behavior.

Great place to stay for families

This hotel was modern, clean, and comfortable. It is right off I-95 and has many food and fuel options. We stopped here on our way back to New York from a Florida family vacation The staff was very kind and professional. The room had plenty of outlets, pillows, light, etc. The shower was wonderful! Breakfast was excellent and offered many hot and cold options including a fun pancake-making appliance. We will definitely stay here again!
