Fairfield Inn by Marriott Charlotte Gastonia

The hotel staff were very nice and kind. My husband and I came during the time of kids tournaments so it was very noisy. Also, the entire hotel smelled like marijuana the entire time we stayed at the hotel. The smell was so unpleasant that we told night manager. But overall not a bad place.

Stuffs are very nice, good condition room for family stay, plain slice bread not available in breakfast menu.

The check in was horrible due to Fairfield not having 2 rooms booked that I had conformation for. Took over thirty minutes to get checked in due to not having my two confirmed rooms. They had to put family on different floors.

Everything was great but the breakfast in the morning wasn’t what I was expecting. Egg whites. They were ok for me but not my kids.

For one of the remaining to be completely renovated, I was very impressed. Our room was VERY clean (even the edges and corners, which I look at lol), the staff was amazing, accommodating, and super friendly. The quaint little complimentary breakfast was just right and the coffee was perfect (and offered 'round the clock). The pool was clean and warm, the kids loved it. Definitely coming back :-)

We always stay at Fairfield Gastonia when we visit our family in the area. The staff has always been helpful and friendly.

This was the third time we’ve stayed at this location. It had been three years since we took our yearly trip to NC. This hotel has deteriorated significantly since we last stayed. Carpet is not in good condition in the hallways, cleanliness was lacking around the hotel (especially the elevators), we had to remove the bedspread because it had an unknown stain. Probably the biggest disappointment was the pool being closed due to construction. I wish they had a note on Expedia letting customers know it’s temporarily closed. I had considered staying in another hotel but chose this one for the pool to have something extra for my kids. They were looking forward to it. Additionally I know Covid has presented challenges when it comes to dining areas but the breakfast used to be a very nice bonus. We tried it the first morning and everything is prepackaged. Not very good at all. Fruit was past its prime. We skipped it for the rest of our stay and purchased breakfast elsewhere. Probably our last stay at this hotel.

The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable and thebstaff was friendly. Our kids loved the pool and thebbreakfast wasnt bad. Overall great stay
