The Inn was clean and welcoming but the wood furniture in my room was a bit beat up. What bothered me the most was that there is no guest bathroom on the first floor when you check in. The only available bathroom was in the basement between the pool and the workout room. So you have to walk through the locker rooms to have access to a public bathroom. The bathroom in my room was great. You have to go to the basement to access the lounge area where breakfast is served. Again a problem with no guest bath available. Then the elevator stopped working so you had to use the stairs to get to the lobby or basement or to go to your room on the second or third floors to find a bathroom. I just found it very troublesome. It's a shame they have no guest bathrooms available on the lobby floor or in the basement. And with no elevator it was challenging for those with walking and/or stair disabilities. They offer coffee 24/7 but you have to go to the desk to get hot tea. One of the front desk attendants was not pleased we asked for hot tea. The breakfast area did not provide hot chocolate for the children and when we asked they had none. They also did not offer any flavored coffee creamers. They did not serve breakfast until 7:30 so if you have an early appointment good luck with that. It is not a place I would recommend to any person I know personally.

Restaurant is closed, also the bar, but it was not mentioned anywhere prior to making the reservation. I did not like the breakfast item at all, if you are expecting good variety, this is not the place. Rooms are good, ac extremely loud!! Housekeeping service I am not even going to comment on. I am not staying there again, nor am I recommending this place to friends and family.

Friendly and courageous staff. A little noisy with a lot of kids around, but that comes with the territory. The breakfast was excellent. A location for a nice getaway in any season. Convenient mall right around the corner. I highly recommend it.

Small hotel very very cleaned, amazing room and breakfast, we could go walking to the Main Street. Lots of options for kids, restaurants and shopping. 8 minutes from Appalachian Mt. Just loved! I will be there again for sure!

My family and I came here for a few days before Christmas to relax and unwind. The accommodations were stellar and we especially liked the breakfast buffet and the decor around the inn. All of the staff was friendly and welcoming.

Nice room, and hotel is in a good location with easy parking and in and out. Breakfast was very good although started a bit late for us. Could hear neighbors a couple of nights, but it was Halloween, and the young kids were in town. Beds were comfortable. Fitness room could use some new equipment, but at least they had one. Not norm right there in town.
Thought it to be good value.

Beautiful grounds and many shops in walking distance. Some other attractions are a short drive. The park in blowing rock is awesome for kids! Huge playground equipment and just really lovely spot.

All was great , until we had a very noisy renters with kids rent the room above us then we had no quiet at all. You would think the staff would have more common sense and not put renters with children ubove someone else. And the room was clean but out dated.

The room was mostly clean except for the bathroom. There was some damage to the vanity and one of the ceiling tiles was out of place. They have lovely decor and have some some great updates to the property and rooms. It’s well located and the breakfast was nice. I especially appreciated them having oat milk at the coffee station during breakfast. Would love to see it out at the lobby also! The pool is in a strange location. Don’t try to bring a stroller in that area because there is only stair access but it was a decent pool despite the access issue. Our room was ok. The bedding was fair, mattress didn’t hurt my back, pillows had enough variety to suit everyone but were pretty old. The carpet looks like it’s probably seen some things. A swap to a hard flooring with a rug would be an amazing update. The only real complaint about the room which was next to the elevator (because of my default preference setting for work travel) and the elevator was quite loud. There was a lot of noise from the hallway, I assume because of the proximity to the elevator. There was also a weird rushing water sound in the ceiling of our room. Like constantly running water directly above us. Other than that and the noisy neighbors it was pleasant for the rate. The staff begrudgingly gave us an extra hour to check out because one of my kids was sick so that was nice. We would stay here again but in a different room.

My husband, son and I visited Meadowbrook Inn this past weekend to be closer to ski slopes. Overall, it is a great, family-friendly hotel in walking distance to downtown Blowing Rock. I was not expecting to pay a $50 incidental deposit which a paper I had to sign said could take up to 30 days to refund.
The staff was friendly, welcoming and suggested family-friendly restaurants nearby. The complimentary "High Country" breakfast was the best free breakfast we've had. It consisted of scrambled eggs, sausages, yogurt, muffins, cereal, fresh fruit, grits, an apple dessert, hashbrowns one day, biscuits and gravy, juice, coffee, hot tea and probably more! They really thought of it all.
My only issue during the stay was how loud the heater in the room was. It was so loud that it woke me up during the night (it was set to 68). If you're watching tv, you have to turn it up a LOT to hear over the heat. I also heard someone else complaining about the heat when I was checking in, so this leads me to believe it's that loud in every room.
Otherwise, a great experience. This was a family-friendly hotel and I'm glad I chose it. We would return if we visit Blowing Rock again.
