Courtyard by Marriott Long Island Islip/Courthouse Complex

Year after year my family stays here for our soccer games and our experience is always outstanding!

Room was clean and a good size for my family. Sofa bed was comfortable and there was a microwave and mini fridge which was great. Plenty of pillows and the beds were comfortable. Snack pantry located by the front desk. Great for a few night trip.

The staff was very helpful and absolutely pleasant. They made up for the very rude other guests at the location. The staff were accommodating and went out of their way to assist with resolving the issues we had. The worst part was that the first night we arrived, 5-6 children (the youngest was around 5) were using the elevator to go to each floor to run up and down the halls, knock on people's doors, and yelling until around 1 AM the following morning. After calling the desk twice, they did manage to catch the kids and return them to their parents - who were downstairs at the bar drinking/partying. The second night there was better and we were able to sleep. The last night there, the people that checked into the room next to us were yelling while communicating for every sentence, the kids tried to open and slammed the door that could potentially adjoin the rooms if you booked together, and even after politely requesting through the door that they not do that because we had young children sleeping with a flight early in the morning, they continued to yell, stomp, and bang on the door - this was with parents joining in on the yelling. We called the front desk, who called and spoke with them, and they turned up the television. We called again an hour later and the front desk moved them. A few hours later, we got up to leave for our flight and found the trashy people had also left their trash beside our door and an open taco on the floor in front of our door.

My family was happy with this hotel. We stayed on our way back to Brooklyn from Montauk. Everyone was very friendly. The room was clean and quiet. The pool was tiny but we had it to ourselves. My favorite was the outdoor lounge area with a firepit. We ordered dinner and breakfast from the restaurant and it was fine. I wish the pull out couch had been made up for us. Next time I would go for 2 double beds rather than a king and pull out couch.
