Grandview Hotel New York

The staff was rude and didn’t want to check us in after a late arrive due to plane delays even though I explained it to him and had a young child with me. He admitted there were 4 rooms available but still didn’t want to honor my reservation as it was 30 mins after the check in time. After some back and forth, he stated he would allow this one time exception (I’ll never go back of course so this meant nothing). He threw my credit card on the counter after swiping it instead of handing it to me as if he was mad. The room smelled like smoke, there were hairs in the shower, water was leaking from the ceiling air return into the toilet, and the air conditioner was so caked up with dust that it was blowing the dirt onto the water comforter which was only a foot away as the room was so tiny that the AC was almost touching the bed. My daughter was grossed out by the room and had to spray perfume in the room to help with the spell. I stayed here to save money and be close to a meeting but wish I never did. This place is poorly run and needs a remodel and new staff. I never write reviews as I don’t want to impact businesses but this was different. Please don’t stay here. The money you save will not be worth it.

This is the first time in my life that I have such a bad experience. I booked a double bed. They provided me with a baby cot. Then told me that the website has a special price. But I paid the normal price. So I can't change the room even if I pay more. It's terrible! It's a hell trip
