Hilton Garden Inn Melville

I explored the property review prior to booking 2 rooms for my family. We were coming from NC to a family member's funeral. I am a minister and was asked to do the euology. I brought my mother-in-law, wife and daughter with me ( as this was my wife's family). My mother-in-law is very dear to me and 87 years old. She is also disabled. When we checked into the room, we were told that no rooms were near each other but we could be on the same floor. This was troubling but okay. My wife proceeded to get her mom comfortable and tidy the room. Per protocol, my wife examed the mattresses for bed bugs. My wife found very disgusting blood stained mattresses on both made. She took awful pictures ( which we still have) and shared them with front desk. They offered her another room with but it had the same type of mattress problem. We are not complainers; so, we just all slept in one room for 1 night then checked out. We checked out early and went to the Marriott. All of this was extremely stressful for the entire family. Looks like I was also charged for the 1 night stay ( which I do not agree with). I guess that I need to purchase a Winnebago!

The room was large. The bathroom was also large, but the sink area was tiny for my things. I had to move them elsewhere because no countertop space. The walls are paper thin and I could hear everything in the adjacent room with children there who were very loud. For the price, I expected more. The bed didn’t even have a soft topper on it for comfort. Conrad, you would have been disappointed too.

Came with the family. I have no complaints. Everything was prefect great location near all the highways. Made it very easy to commute from LI to City. The welcome was very warm as well. Thai is the second time we stayed here and in the future trip this is the place to go . Thank you.

They upgraded me and my family from a real hotel room to their home away suites, which was to joining rooms with the kitchen and a living room, because it was the Thanksgiving week and the manager said she tries to do that for families during the holidays. She did not have to do that. It was a nice surprise, and we are very grateful for her doing that for us.

Very clean (rug in toom could use a shampoo though), quiet, pleasant and helpful staff. Large area in lobby for families to gather and eat together. Sitting areas outdoors with fire pits very inviting

The first night of our stay when trying to sleep a dog was barking for about 3-4 hours. Very disappointed and myself and my family could not sleep and we had a early morning wake up…!!

Great stay with the family. Pool was a bonus.

Great staff, good food, safe, spacious and very clean. Pool was well regulated as well. Would recommend for both solo travelers and for families. Will be returning for another Mommy getaway staycation.

Staff provided me a room near great parking and near the hotel pool. This made it easier for me to get around as i use a cane. However, you may want to review your rules for pool usage. There were kids jumping in the pool and using thehot tube. Lots of potential dangers.

I feel very safe and well taken care of at this Hilton facility. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is easy to find parking and the grounds are well taken care of. However, due to its location (city-like), there is some light trash lying about. We like the quiet, homey feel of this place. We are usually visiting family and are in and out of the facility. I think this place is very family-friendly and comfortable for everyone in the group! The only complaint is that the elevator floor and the area around the elevator could use some vacuuming but other than that I definitely recommend it if you are in the area!!!
