Fairfield Inn & Suites New York Manhattan / Central Park

Room was just so tiny but I’d never been to the city with my family before.

We checked in late on Thursday evening. Our room was fine, but when I went to close the shades so that we could get ready for bed, it didn't work. We had to call the front desk. The front desk sent an engineer. The engineer could not help. They switched our room on Friday, but the room was much smaller. I have two children, so having the shade is important for sleeping. The hotel said I should contact expedia to see if it would be possible to get a refund for that night.

The staff is like family I have been coming to this location for past 3 years it has the best views of the empire and the Hudson River will not stay anywhere else in the city . The breakfast is great the bar is open but really the staff is excellent!

I selected this property because of its location, appearance and it’s inclusion of parking. The location was fabulous as it provided walking access to Hell’s Kitchen, the The Theater Distrct, Central Park, Columbus Circle, Times Square, and Rockefeller Plaza. The property is beautiful and the staff provided. Manhattan level of service. Though a bit cramped (which was to be expected), the rooms were beautifully outfitted and quite comfortable. And the view of the city overlooked a roof top park. Parking is available with the hotel, which was essential for parents dropping a child at school and trying to take advantage of the drive time with a few days of time. I had thought parking was included but (warning) it was an additional charge - $40 per car per day and $53 per day for our minivan. I would recommend staying at this hotel but leaving the car at home or seeking off island parking options.
