Very outdated and not very clean. The carpet grossed me out, the shower was dirty and the bathroom counter was falling off the wall, if you leaned on it too much it may have. There was a puddle of water under the tv and the towels had holes in them. No air conditioning in lobby and parking lot is jacked up. All of this made worse by staff who didn’t seem to care, plenty of them walking around on their phones or talking about personal stuff in front of hotel guests. Tried to check in 20 minutes early, just to be told the room wasn’t ready. The front manager told many people this, had a lobby full of guests, and then took 30 minutes to check them all in when the clock struck 3 (check-in time). After all that, the room that was given to me was one that was clearly ready, right down the hall from the front desk that I was staring at the entire time she made my family wait in the lobby. Nobody walked out of the room as if they were doing a last minute cleaning. Why couldn’t she have just checked us in? Very weird vibe, this outdated Hampton hotel should get new ownership and revamp. Won’t be staying here again.

The hotel was ok at first, checked in asked for a later check out because my daughters wanted to go swimming. The front desk lady said no problem and put a note on our reservation. My daughters decided they wanted to go swimming, I called the front desk because there was no signage to find the entrance to the pool. The lady that answered said that that we could go swimming but the furnace got the pool hadn't been working for WEEKS and there was a crack in the foundation so the hot tub was out of order as well. My daughters tried to swim but it was easy too cold and I'm not sure why I wasn't told at check-in that the pool wasn't working properly when I told her the whole reason we wanted a later checkout was to go swimming?? We went back to the room to call it a night and take a shower. The shower is broken, I still have know idea how I turned the water on as the knob would just spin. It was stuck on cold water and would not turn off. Baked the front desk again.... She said that this is a COMMON problem in many of the rooms. Told me the truck to change the temp and turn it off and only offered to change rooms if the water was stuck on hot. If I had another option I would have moved to another hotel. They couldn't refund me since I booked through hotels.com. This made what was supposed to be a fun family trip to be a disappointment with very sad little girls who just wanted to swim.

I paid more because I traveled with kids … for them to enjoy the pool. I had cheaper options … but this hotel advertised nice indoor pool. I stayed 4 days there … pool was never heated. For 2 days I was told to come back at a later time that they would heat it … never happened! And 1 day pool was locked! Kids were very sad. Very disappointed.

This is not up to usual Hampton Standards in my opinion. The room was dirty with obvious stains on the carpet and the chair, a hole in the nightstand, a broken tv stand, and terrible drywall repair work on the ceilings. It was LOUD! We were on the first floor and I assume the people above us had kids running around, normal behavior but it sounded like elephants were wrestling above us. The doors to the outside slammed and echoed through the halls. The hot tub was roped off and not usable as well. Do yourself a favor and pay less in Taos for a nicer place.

Adobe style building is very traditional for New Mexico. We find it very nice to stay in a building like this. We came to Taos to ski for a few days. The building has easy access from the road, is located on the south part of town about 40 min to a Taos Ski Valley.
The low price and breakfast included, pool and hot tub were deciding factors for my family in choosing this hotel.
I eat gluten free food and was able to find some items from the breakfast for myself to eat. Big plus for that.
The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The lady upfront gave me extra towels and information about places to eat.
I also appreciate her telling us that all the places in town close early and if we want to have dinner we should get going soon. She also recommended the nearest place to eat.
The pool was open but the hot tub was closed. I am not sure why.
The reason I gave negative points to this property is BLACK MOLD on the ceilings. It is a health hazard. I had to change four rooms before we found one that didn’t have visible mold spots. This is a huge safety concern. Minor things are: dirty spots on the chairs in the dining hall and on the chair in our room, peeling wallpaper throughout the building. Some wall repairs were performed in the four rooms that I’ve seen but very poorly.

Overall had a great experience.
How ever at like 1:30 in the morning a random alarm went off and work everyone up including my kids. We still havent gotten a explanation of why this happened.
The sinks are not kid friendly and are way too tall.
I requested extra blankets and towels and never got them.
We booked this hotel specifically for the indoor pool, however no where on the site does it say the pool was closed for renovations. So it was a bummer. Be sure to call the hotel before you book to verify the pool is open.
On the other hand, breakfast was good. My kids loved it. The people that worked there was very nice and helpful.

Stayed on the 2nd floor, during summer. 80+ degrees everywhere inside. It was HOT, part of the sidewalk was broken up and myself and my toddler tripped over loose concrete. The ice machine on our floor was broken, also the vending machine.
Bed was super hard, tv was old and very small.
Soap and shampoo smelled good though..

My kids love to swim in heated pools, as the one advertised here. Hot tubs also. Unfortunately, their pool heater was under repair and their hot tub taped off.
