Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Clovis

For the price I had to pay I was extremely disappointed! The entire pool area was closed, the pillows were terrible, towels had a musty smell, breakfast was virtually non existent, and the evening staff was extremely unprofessional. It was the middle of July, there was no reason the pool should have been closed, my children were so disappointed. The outdoor pool was one of the reasons we chose the hotel in the first place. Pillows felt as though you were sleeping on lumps of material. Bath towels looked clean until you started to dry off and the musty smell hit you! Breakfast was 2 hot items.. a terribly made scone or an empanada with jalapenos in it. There was individual cereals (2 choices) and a few oatmeal options. We ended up going out to breakfast. But the evening staff was the cherry on top of the disappointing stay! Upon arrival three staff members walked past me at the desk. None of them acknowledged me and went to a different area. After about ten minutes of waiting someone finally came out and asked if I needed to check in. She was snooty the whole time she checked me in and kept huffing at me. Later I found out they were having an enchilada dinner instead of doing their jobs. It was 3:30 in the afternoon, checkin is at 3:00 you would expect more professionalism during check in times! Will not be staying here again, and we frequently stay in Clovis.
