Everything was great for our trip to Gothenburg Nebraska. We chose the Cobblestone inn because it was close to our family and had stayed there this summer. The accommodations were wonderful and went out of their way to check a few things that were questionable. Fixed the fitness room so we could access it despite the broken lock. The only disappointment was the pool chemicals were not doing their job so pool was not open for the weekend. 😢. Hope they have the issue fixed next time we visit!

Pros-
*dog-friendly, nice field to let dog run after long day of travel
*big, comfortable, quiet, clean room.
*comfortable bed
Cons-
*kid checking us in was high as a kite, zero costumer service.
*bathroom sink trickled water, shower pressure was okay though.
*TV wouldn’t turn off. Had to unplug it.
*Breakfast attendant wasn’t the brightest crayon. No coffee, no milk for cereal, no waffles. She couldn’t keep up!

Problems started with this property the moment we got there to check in, the rude front desk staff would not honor the early checkin that we were promised when we called and requested it. When we finally got to check in we were told by two people that the room was clean but we discovered that was not the case. There were two large bags of half eaten food in the refrigerator, silverware in the dishwasher, no soap in the bathroom (they said they didn't have any) almost no toilet paper, skid marks in the toilet, popcorn on the floor and toothpaste in the sink. That evening we discovered that the controller for the TV was missing We called the front desk 4 times and the young man on duty finally came up he got the TV on but none of the remotes worked and he said he would come back with more, he did not do so. While we were sitting there in our PJ's our door opened and a couple came in saying they had been told the this was their room and that this was their second attempt to get into the room due to key issues. We left our room a little later and discovered that our key no longer worked. The next morning there was only bread/bagels on the buffet. When we were checking out we were told that we were going to be charged for early check in and I said they had not honored our request. Virtually all the staff was rude and when asked for anything they said they didn't have it because there had been on deliveries in months. We travel a lot and have never had a worse experience.

This is a great option for families or people traveling with pets. Nice, new, clean, and spacious rooms. Very helpful and friendly staff. Much more affordable than our usual destination in North Platte. My only criticism is that because we booked through Expedia, there was nowhere to note we were traveling with a pet. Since only some rooms are designated pet rooms, it took 15-20 minutes at check-in for them to shuffle rooms around to get us into a pet room. There is also a $25 pet fee that isn’t disclosed on Expedia. Next time, we’ll call the hotel directly to let them know we have our dog with us to avoid this issue.

The room was clean the beds were great and it felt safe. But…..we could hear every step and door above us. The check in person was indifferent and said nothing other than having us sign in even when we said “thank you.” In the morning the breakfast area was locked and we had to find someone to learn it was closed because a drain was backed up - no note posted. So I asked if we could get a packaged roll or something to go and she said it wasn’t possible. We packed up and checked out but saw her getting breakfast sandwiches and cereal for the man with kids in front of us so I asked again - and this time she did get us a sandwich too. We chose this hotel because others don’t have breakfast and if there is a problem a good place would put items to go in the lobby.

Hotel was very nice, clean, beds were comfy. But the sheets were to small and kept coming off the bed. But they were clean and soft. The whole reason we went to stay here though was because we had five kids with us on vacation and you had an indoor pool!! It was the 3 rd place we stayed with a pool , that was supposedly having maintenance done. What a total disappointment!! My own opinion is if your pool is be shut down for maintenance, PUT IT ON YOUR WEBSITE!!! Because once you check in and go to the pool, SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE MEETS CRAP!!

We stayed for 4 nights and had a very pleasant experience. The rooms were large and clean, with a nice open view. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was good. They even had biscuits and gravy. We needed to have Brian from maintenance come to fix our squeaky door, but the fix was taken care of quickly. I was working from the room and had a good wifi connection. Would definitely stay here again when visiting family in town.

We stayed for one night, luckily, our bedroom was dirty, when we opened the door someone was sleeping in there, when we told the front desk person he seemed like didn't know what was happening,
He went to clean the bedroom himself, when we went back then linens seemed wrinkled at that point it was 11pm, all we wanted it was sleep, my wife and kids were exhausted, the worst part was yge toillet when we went to use it, it was full of feces. Worst nightmare. Will never stay in this place again. NO I don't recommend.
The front desk person never apologized for this terrible time.
