There was a vehicle parked outside my window. This vehicle was playing their music very loud with a lot of base. It was shaking things in my room. At the front desk, I ask Earl to do something about it. His response was,"why don't you go ask them yourself?". Which my response was," are you kidding?" Earl then ask me the question, " why is everyone asking me to do these kind of things?" At which at this point I walked away.

Where do I even begin… is this hotel worth almost $300 Canadian a night- heck no. I didn’t have the highest expectations, but I did expect more.
Firstly, there is a sign that says because they are short staff, cleaning would only take place every 3rd day. We stayed 4. On day 3, we arrived back to our room, to find it had no been serviced. I went downstairs and was told, the housekeeping staff were still there and our room WOULD be done. We left again, came back 4 hours later. Room not touched. We are a family of four, and even though we are not dirty/messy people. 3 days without service, is ridiculous. I went back downstairs and was told she’d look into it. Nothing ever happened. So there were many trips downstairs to get towels (because 3 towels and 1 face cloth) is supposed to last a family of four- 4 days. Run downstairs for toilet paper, tissues. Trips outside to take our garage out. We did not pay almost $1200 Canadian for 4 nights, to be doing this ourselves.
The room was so foul smelling. We had the window open at all times, as the smell made us feel nauseous.
Homeless man living in his car in the parking lot.
Someone cooking a variety of food in the hotel. The last night we were there, the whole hotel smelled of fish.
Now for their “expanded” breakfast. This would include- no bagels, no pasties, so milk for the two kind of cereal, no fruit, no yogurt. You could have sausage, gravy and biscuits. Not sure what “expanded” means. Horrible. Be warned.

There were constantly people drinking or otherwise partying in the back corner of the parking lot. Lots of noise into the night, both inside and outside the hotel, including children running around whooping and hollering. The staff did nothing to curtail any of this, and I suspect that the people partying were staff family members.
The room itself was standard fare for this price point and seemed to be in good shape. Everything worked, and the room was kept clean and tidy. Breakfast was pretty standard hotel breakfast bar, with the exception of an automatic pancake maker which was a nice touch (except that it was out of order the first two days). Outside the rooms was where it got sketchy.

Great hotel for a family on a budget. There were many great restaurants within walking distance and the breakfast was great!

Decent place to stay. We were unlucky enough to be staying next to a room with a LOT of people in it, a large noisy family. Breakfast was good; staff was nice. It was clean.

It was unfortunate someone was smoking beside our room (no smoking hotel) and we were with two small children. The smell and air quality were so poor we had to switch rooms. This was time consuming and inconvenient however the hotel staff were very accommodating. We left a tip for the housekeeping and when we returned to our room we noticed the cleaners hadn’t even provided us with new Kleenex and toilet paper (which were needed). Also, with our initial smoke filled room, there was used soap left in the shower as well as at the sink along with used cups leaving us to think our room hadn’t even been cleaned. Other than that, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall we would recommend the property.
