Hilton St. Louis Frontenac

My family has stayed here before, but never in the north villa of the property. The room is a little older and their bathroom had plumbing issues.

Breakfast buffet was great, fitness center was clean and convenient, and the pool was lovely. Our family really enjoyed our stay.

The location was great. The lobby and hotel as a whole was beautiful. Our room was very spacious. The only con I would say is that there were areas on the bathroom door and walls where moisture had made the wood start fraying and splaying out, bubbles in paint, etc. My kids kept saying they were staying in a castle. I would definitely stay again.

Very unique property with easy access to lots of activities in the Saint Louis area. The area felt safe (tons of families and parties at the site) and everything was well-lit…additionally there were multiple entry points, so you never had a long walk from your car to the room.

The outside and first glance of this property is really nice. When you walk in the doors it smells nice. However, once we were greeted with staff, that is when things went a little in left field. Prior to our stay, we called as well as our friends, to ensure that we would be on the same floor. We were promised 4 separate times that we would be all on the same floor. When we arrived, my family was put in a different room, so small that we could not even open the pack and play and have room to maneuver in the room. I am breastfeeding and the room also did not come equip with a fridge. When I went to the front desk to speak to someone about this, they told me they would just keep my breastmilk in their fridge. I explained why this was not going to work. He informed me that standard rooms did not come with a fridge. I went back at a later time to speak to the staff again about a room change, to which I was told that they were sorry promises were made, but that they could not do anything about it. After much more conversation, I was finally placed in a larger room to accommodate my family. When we arrived in that room, there were cigarette ashes on the bed as well as an odor. I was to the point I did not want to request another room. My friends, who were in a different area, informed me that their room had dried contacts on the nightstand and pills in the floor that they were unsure where they came from or what they were. Very disappointed in the property.

Noise level in the junior suites was awful - we were directly above a wedding that had music blaring for hours. Buffet offerings in the restaurant for breakfast were very limited for the cost. Room had no bedding for the pullout couch and we also had to ask for towels despite registering for 4 people in advance. Front desk staff were very fast and friendly, but that was the only good part of our stay.

I slept very well - the beds were super comfy. You should ask your housekeeping to clean behind the bathroom door. It would be good to know my room opens to a lobby with couches where a lot of people were talking and children running.
