Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Woodhaven, an IHG Hotel

It’s clean and staff is nice. That’s prob a low bar, but honestly these days many places have neither, so it’s ok. Lots of traffic noise, marjuana smells (it’s Michigan and that seems to be par for the course now), and hotel is kind of buried behind far less nice hotel in a strange area. Felt like it was going to be way worse than it was based on location. Almost didn’t go in when I saw where it was and all of the boats and work trucks in the lot. Not walkable to anything at all unless you are a I-75 hitchhiker. Lots of long term workmen, few women or families staying, but room itself was in enough proximity to lobby to feel safe enough and the staff was pleasant. Just felt super low budget.

We’ve stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Woodhaven many times while visiting our family. We always found the hotel to be comfortable, friendly, and accommodating. The breakfast is very good and the room where they have it is spacious and can accommodate a good number of guests. The only negative we found this time was the cleaning staff. The bed was not made up well every day, with the top sheet not pulled up but scrunched under the comforter. What really bothered us was that the floor in the bathroom was not cleaned the whole four days we were there. There was a tissue and floss I deliberately left on the floor to see if it had been picked up each day but unfortunately it was still there every day. One day I had to go to the desk to ask for toilet paper since the second roll wasn’t put in. My husband and I do like this hotel, but the cleaning staff needs more training.

Took the kids here for a surprise! They loved the pool and the room! They especially loved the breakfast! Very clean and quiet. Would definitely recommend to others.

Generally a Good experience. Nice and Clean... The only issue we experienced was a noisy neighbor above us with what sounded like a small child running around for half an hour

Good trip for a kids hockey tournament. At times was a little loud, but when you contain that many 8-9 year olds in one place it is easy to happen. The front desk staff was top notice very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was typical of what you find now-a-days.

I was in town on vacation to visit family. I really did like the hotel itself, very clean, great amenities, very nice area. However, a few gripes, the main one being management. The manager herself was not nice or hospitable at all, and really brought the experience down. I wasn't the only one who felt this way. Other guests commented the same in the elevator. Very short, and snappy. If not for her, it would have been a full on pleasant experience. The rest of the staff was great!
