The Ann Arbor Regent is a great, family owned hotel! Rooms are spacious, the setting was quiet, and the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast includes eggs, potatoes and sausage along with the usual cereals and breads. It's an older hotel that has been updated, so the A/C is a little loud and it could use a few more electrical outlets, so I couldn't give it five stars. But it's clean and comfortable, and a good value.

Let me start by saying that I would stay here again. The area is safe, but I would say it's just okay in terms of things to do nearby. There is a well known family-style restaurant next door and another across the street, plus a third restaurant on the block that I know nothing about. For attending a high school graduation in Ann Arbor, this place is perfect. It was a 7 minute Uber away from the arena where all the graduations are held and right off the interstate for anyone driving. The rooms were clean and decent size. There are only two floors and stairs spread out to make it easy to get up and down. However, there was only one elevator in the center of the building, so if you have someone that can't use stairs, you might want to ask for the first floor. The amenities exceeded my expectations. The gym was nice. The pool area was actually much nicer than I expected (pool and hot tub). The continental breakfast was what you would expect at a known name brand hotel offering continental breakfast (no complaints from me). But the amenity that surprised me was the game room. It had a pool table, foosball, and shuffleboard table, and downstairs, there appeared to be two computer consoles loaded with various games. This isn't a luxury property, but it's not some budget motel either. I found it very clean and comfortable. It's comparable to a Marriott Courtyard or Hampton Inns. Like I said at the top, I'd definitely stay here again.

I loved the location. The management were eagerly accommodating to rectify a situation that could have been made my stay uncomfortable. The hotel was clean and I felt safe. I had one confrontation from a member of the staff who unfortunately should not be at the front desk. We were locked out of our room because our keys were deactivated, and she thought it was okay to say that “mistakes happen”. After speaking with Mr. Leigh from management, I may reconsider my first thought of not revisiting this hotel again. My son and my 8 grandchildren live in Ysilanti. The only reason I gave only 3 stars for staff was because of one person.

The children in our group enjoyed the pool, the staff was tolerant of our large group gathering in the lobby area. The room was clean and comfortable.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. Beds comfortable and rooms were clean. There were a few things I didn’t like, the pool is cold and to slippery. The outside area is beautiful however, after 10pm there is no outdoor area to sit and relax. Breakfast was wonderful .

Great presentation, some magic to the eye, clean, attentive.
Complaint is in the room, and opinions on breakfast area
Complaint-toilet had a hard time flushing, screaming baby next door, tub didn’t drain well. Barely any choices in tv channels.
I don’t normally leave reviews or complain but for me paying what I paid, not worth the $203. Id rate it maybe at a price of $120 and that’s including taxes.
Poor choice in flooring in pool area by far.
Breakfast area needs more of an open concept but appreciate the try in the idea you were trying to portray.

I first want to start by saying I gave them a week to contact me about the situation. Last weekend my boyfriend and two young boys stayed at the hotel Friday - Sunday. The room was outdated but ok. The pool area was so slippery not only my children feel or almost slipped multiple times but other guest did as well. The hot tub was a warm tub at best and hard the roughest surface on the inside. The breakfast was eggs sausage and potatoe chunks that looked reheated Sunday morning. My worst and main part of this complaint and rating is on Saturday night before we were going to bed I found a PILL under the pull out couch my kids were sleeping on. When I alerted staff, they appologized took my information and let me know manager would reach out Monday 02/05/2024. I than combed the room thoroughly and found an old dressing cup and old water bottles but no more pills thank goodness. I thank received a call from the front desk asking if I wanted to switch rooms at 10:30 at night I said no we were leaving in the morning. Still have not heard back from management. Will not be returning and very disappointed in the way this was handled.

Check-in was very pleasant and efficient. Property is clean. It seems to be an older property but is well-maintained while keeping its personality. A lot of amenities (pool, hot tub, billiards, a beautiful courtyard for congregating). There appeared to be a family "reunion" or some sort during our stay. The layout of the property allows a large group to spread out but stay connected. The active children of the group couldn't be heard when inside the rooms. I have a family member who has decided to stay in the area after her recent graduation so I will definitely book future reservations here. It's right off the highway and just down the road from shopping and dining options.

Stayed overnight and didn’t get to use all the amenities but they looked great and wished we had more opportunity. The game room had old fashioned billiards, foosball, shuffleboard table and my kids loved them as did I. Also a very good breakfast with a nice variety though eggs were powdered and not great. We would definitely stay again
